Does it really matter what party the President of the United States is?

Presidents come and go or stay for another term or so, but what is the difference between Presidents of the two parties? It seems that no matter who is President the same things are happening. The polices of our current President are similar to some of the previous and in some cases go beyond. My perception is that regardless of who is President there is a controlling third party thrown into the mix and it isn't working out in the best interest of the American people. The concern is that American politics has been infiltrated and this happened a long time ago. Isn't it strange that most if not all the cabinet members of the current administration were former Wall Street exec's (Goldman Sachs). Should we be concerned about the real problems we are experiencing right now with regards to attempts to restrain the rights we have under the US Constitution, or is it more important that we know about Lindsay Lohans drinking problem and brushes with the law.

I don't think it matters at all which party the president is from. The media makes it sound like there are huge differences but then the media is owned by the same global elite that run the country. The president might be selected by the people but the game is rigged. All these politicians are groomed and financed by the wealthy. They use the media as a calming force to make us believe we actually have a choice. Television pacifies us and conditions us to back issues we normally wouldn't support. Everything on television is political propaganda in some way or another. The media dumbs down politics and plays down issues that would normally drive the public mad. The television swamps us with tabloid tv and moronic music. The culture of today is absolute drivel. It's almost designed to destroy our souls.

It has a lot to do with Congress, since they are the ones that pass legislation, write the checks. What we really need from a President is a motivator, a uniter.

Yes and one that stands by the Constitution. Can we say that about our current president?
