to commute or to use our sedan?

Hello everyone, I want to hear your recommendations. I am here in Manila and I need to go to Region 4A. Here is the scenario: First, it is raining, raining hard. Second, color coding, it will be lifted on 7pm. Third, my husband is a neophyte driver. Fourth, it is so dark outside, maybe zero visibility. If you were in my shoes, what should I do? To commute(we'll be convenient to travel through airconditioned bus), or to ride in our sedan uncomfortably because of fears of accidents plus the fact that we need to wait till 7pm? Thanks :)

Well, seems like you've already made up your decision angelo. Go take the bus. Have a safe trip!

Good for you guys! I heard the storm has passed. How is the weather there in our country? My mom says the storm didn't visit our province which is great news. I hope Manila is doing well, too.

Hi beingwell. If I could decide on my own, I will take a bus. But being a wife, I should consult my husband. I checked the facebook account of MMDA (a government agency in charge of the transport and traffic management and flood and sewerage management in Metro Manila) regarding the traffic and flood updates. Considering there is no heavy traffic and flood, plus the promise of my husband that he will drive carefully, we've decided to use our sedan. :)

If u can postpone the trip, it is better to postpone. Otherwise go by airconditioned bus or train service if it is there. In the end do as both of you decide. Do it with confidence. do not have hesitations. Wavering should be avoided.

Angelo : I am happy you were able to make the trip by your car itself. You have played a positive role by not discouraging him. Also thanks for choosing my comments as the best response. When u get time please write about Region 4A. Hope the rains have stopped by now. have a good day.

Hello ravisivan. My husband promised me that he'll drive carefully. Being a wife, I should support him. Honestly, I am frightened. In order to conquer my fear, I focused on his driving. I reminded him of his promise to maintain a 40 to 60 kms/hour. Thanks God, we arrived at Region 4A safe. :)

Hi there, Can you postponed it for later or you really need to get there in time? My advice it that, if you're not in a hurry, better postponed it till the weather gets better and if you feel much safer to commute instead of using your car then go for it. There's nothing better than a safe and worry-free travel, have a safe trip

I'm sorry for the late reply. My husband promised me that he will drive safely and carefully. I accepted his offer. From time to time, I reminded him to watch his speed. We maintained the speed of 40 to 60 km/ hour. With Gods help, we were able to reach Region 4A safe.

With that condition it's good for you to commute to avoid accidents due to heavy rain . You might stock up along the way and people are busy with their own concern due to climate condition .

Hello floiecometa. I agree with you, it is really safe to commute than to use sedan when there is heavy rain. However, my husband promised me that he will drive carefully. I supported him and we have reached Region 4A safely. :)
