Do you guys know schools that offer scholarship programs? When I say "schools", it can be in every form from music schools to dance schools. I know TESDA offers scholarship programs, but they only offer their courses for free if you have a highschool diploma..which is something I haven't received yet. Can you guys help me out? I want to study a new language and I also want to learn play musical instruments, but I just don't have the money for it!

You can try the school for National Arts in Mt. Makiling,Los Banos Laguna, they offer scholarship for the exceptionally musically inclined elementary students. My daughter found the site somewhere in the net when she aspired to be one of the scholars but had a change of heart when she realized she still want to finish her high school in normal mode. Try and check out its site as there's no harm in trying.

i am not aware of such scholarships especially if you are to only learn a language. i would suggest for you to try and learn the language online since you have access to the internet. also, if you would opt for a scholarship for art subjects, i would not think there is much that would give offer because these expertiase would rarely have high return, especially if you get to work already. maybe you should really finish your high school and then apply for the scholarships TESDA, and even DOST offers.

Thanks for the response chiyosan! I am having Nihongo lessons online. But i'm having a hard time because I have no one to speak to...that's why even I study Japanese lessons by myself, but if I have no one to practice with, my skills are still rusty. I didn't know DOST also offers such courses. I heard from my friend that if you still don't have a highschool diploma, you can pay a small-time fee of P100 to TESDA and file some papers as a requirement instead of a diploma. Is this true? I keep on checking their website, but it doesn't update and it seems abandoned.

I don't think there's a scholarship for those kind of classes. Most scholarships I know are for scholastical.
