Hello Lotters,
that's right, talked about his recent up and down in his political experience now, which is something that most people are disappointment or impressed by them.
One up is that his refusal to allow to have marcos buried with full military honors. to be honest, NO HONOR weights the mistakes of you're doing. look at Rolando Mendoza, he lost his priviledge being a cop after taking hostage and killing hongkong tourist.therefore, Marcos shouldn't be buried as a HERO but merely as ordinary man. burying him as a hero proves we can forget and let ourselves be insulted by this..
But one down is his recent comment on his cabinet members that are lacking their duties and he claimed them to be more of a burden. HELLO! if you think their imcompetent, then FIRE THEM! instead of humiliating them in front of the public, that's something i didn't like to hear from a leader that represent the country. can't believe they vote this man...
Well, i didn't vote for him but i have the right to still feel that disappointment........

Dear LK,
No matter what they say my dear brother...i know that people who were born under the Marcos regime can shout that HE IS THE MAN
Who among the President/s in this earth ever made speeches without a copy ...it's MARCOS Trademark and you can asks your mom about it.
Whether the past president of this country can never surpass the government Marcos ever run like...okay,throw all the bad reputation in his name...but still the good and best records written in the world history from -education-sports-economy- were under Marcos regime...who can deny and dispute that?...NO ONE!
MARCOS deserves to be honored ,salutes and the Philippine Flag!
Cmon...where are those People's Power organizers?...let them show eh!

Hello Sis Jaiho,
Well, nobody is perfect though. I know i admire Marcos for such talent as a leader, but the moment he grabs the opportunity to stay in power, everything that was done in the past didn't matter much if people would die of torture under his government.
but still, the past is in the past. they can bury him like any ordinary man. it's Marcos why the people aren't voting for the likes of Gordon, Gibo and others who now prefer popular ones like Pnoy. we are no longer on that time. besides, nobody wants a strong leader anymore, and that is the saddest part in my generation..

but to take a note that even Ninoy Aquino too can speech without sources, it's a direct speech too, but Ferdinand Marcos is more different compare to Ninoy Aquino....
no such child can manifest the talents of their fathers(Ferdinand and Ninoy)...
in America they said: "Like Father Like Son"
but in Chinese they said: "Like Lolo Like Apo"
even RoRo is still a project by F. Marcos and just maintain it by the succeding next Philippine presidents and claimed it them or claim it their project but in fact, it's full based is still from Marcos...
and to take a note too that plenty of corrupts too buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani too....

my only problem about Pnoy is that he is very idealistic. to the point where even he himself does things against his administration. i do feel the disappointment on him, but atleast not the level of disappointment i felt for PGMA. theyre both good president one whose purely idealism, and one whose economic tactics are strong yet not felt because of corruption.

Hello newlyaldrin,
Yeah, but he doesn't know how to execute things. well, that was just the start of it, people are impatient. he's not perfect but i'd be really really sad if had voted for him. as for GMA, he did a lot of failures, but some how she was a lot better in different ways during the her terms. like the hostage situation, the difference is really there too. but it's just been a year. but i can see the failures already

it's hard to please everyone. especially for a president of a nation so divided. citizens will always look upon his every move. media becomes a 24/7 watchdog. there will always be people who are in support of him and more will be against him. either way, he is a clear target for criticisms being the one that holds the highest political figure in our country.
the president will always be compared to past reigns and the could-have-beens. it can't be helped. and the people working for him, under him, and with him... will always be reflected back to him. the quality of his followers is mirrored on the type of leadership he projects.
i was not able to see a news videoclip that he claims incompetence of his cabinet members. if he did, then i'd say it lacks diplomatic tact. and again, it reflects upon his leadership.
as for a hero's burial for marcos... i doubt if it will be enforced at all unless another marcos will be in the seat of power or one of his cronies. we are a divided nation even from way back when. many people loved marcos. and many people hate him as well. for as long as the haters are around, the hero's burial will be opposed.
and this is just an opinion of someone who does not enjoy the conflicting and complicated world of politics (meaning... ME).

Hello myles,
I don't know, people can make their own difference or spend their daily lives trying to watch his every move when they can make their own move. people criticize him because he's the role model for the country. but that's probably why i reacted in his second speech in a conference. well, i have seen it in the news.

I agree on the Marcos burial thing. I don't the Filipino people will get past over the martial law trauma no matter how many people pointed out the advantages of that era. I guess in all of our parent's or older generation's minds, Marcos method is still too extreme and many people are still hurting today because of that incident. Nobody can blame the victims or their families if they want to keep a grudge. I hope Binay's efforts weren't in vain - it's practically logic that people won't bury Marcos in the Libingan anytime soon.
On the down side, I think you are right in Noynoy's action of humiliating his own cabinet members even though he didn't name them out in the public. It's insult and humiliation just the same. This is the first time I ever heard of a president doing this to his own appointees. Besides, he's the one who got them in the position in the first place. Perhaps it's a lack of judgement on his part. If want solutions, why didn't he hire the right people (not his KKK) in the first place? I feel that this is too petty to complain when everybody tries hard to work at their best. It might serve to future appointees that the 'pseudo-boss' can humiliate you in public as he sees fit.

Hello Jeanne,
Now matter how good he was, i think the fact that he tried to control everything is something that people shouldn't vote on. it's sad that once great leader went rough and try to extend term too much. they should bury him in his hometown already. they can do their own honor burial with out the participation of the government
