Since birth to becoming an adult, no doubt that our parents were the first ones to teach us simple things. It was them who taught most of what we know today. If you are going to look back to those days when you were growing with them, can you still remember one of the million things you learned from them that you are grateful of? What is that one thing that you consider the greatest lesson or attitude you learned from them? For me, I may say that my great fear and respect to God is the most important lesson I learned from them because this fear always reminds me to become a good person. Can you share yours?

I'm grateful for a lot of things they've done for me. Back then, I used to hate it when they catch me doing something they don't like but when I grew up, I learned to realize that it was all for me. That's what I liked about it, it was actually a blessing in disguise.

I learnt their attitudes towards difficulty from my parents, and that is the one thing i am benefiting the most from. They told me to be tough, to face difficulty in the eye and never give up. This is how i hang on there and pulled myself through many critical points in life. I am truly grateful for that.

I think basic manners and words like please and thank you have served me very well. I was not raised to fear a vengaful God so the responsibility for my actions remaind totally my responsibility.

For me being able to remain humble in tight situations and keeping faith in myself have been my plus point all long and I gained that first hand from my parents. The most wonderful thing that I cherish from them though is, love. Loving someone and being loved someone can't be compared to anything.
