My computer is also having the same problem in spite of reformatting it a few days ago.

If you really reformatted and completely reinstalled Windows and the other applications that you use, you very likely need more RAM. Check what the maximum is for your PC and install it, or have your local computer shop do it for you.

I guess you have to reformat it by a known computer technician. Its a maintenance for our computers which should be done from time to time depending on the usage.

Reformatting (and reinstalling Windows and all the other applications you use) is laborious and expensive if you have it done by a technician. You would have to back up all your data and have available the installation disks for Windows and all your applications before you start.
It is a cost-efficient method for business machines and for people who are often testing software but, for most people, it is the last thing that you should consider doing to solve a problem.

These are the steps you should take, in order:
1) Clean up/delete all temporary files and empty the recycle bin. The Windows tool for this is Disk Cleanup (in Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools) but a very good alternative (and better in many respects) is CCleaner (free from Piriform).
2) Defragment your hard disk. Windows Defragment is perfectly adequate. This may take some time, depending on the size of the hard disk, available free space and the speed of your CPU.
3) Use CCleaner (or a similar tool) to scan your registry for any problems. Back up the registry (CCleaner will offer to do this for you) and correct any problems it reports.
4) Check what programs are loading at Startup (many of these can be seen in the System tray). Make sure that you are only loading what you actually need to load. This is the only part of the process which really requires you to have some computer knowledge. The rule here is: If you don't know what a program does, leave well alone and don't touch it. Quite a useful tool is Startup Control Panel which you can get (free) here: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml but, in the end, all decisions are down to you!
Once you have done all of these (or at least the first three), restart your computer. You should notice that it is significantly quicker to respond.
You should certainly make sure that you have an up-to-date Antivirus installed and working (Avast is a very good free one) and run a full scan. You should also use Spybot S&D to check for spyware and a few other things which are not viruses (so an antivirus program will normally not flag them).
If none of these checks seem to have much effect, it is likely that you need more RAM. You will need to know what kind of RAM your motherboard uses and the maximum amount which it can address. RAM is not very expensive these days and having the maximum that your computer allows makes a lot of sense. Crucial, at http://www.crucial.com/ , have a very useful tool which will check your RAM and advise you what is needed. You don't have to buy from them but they are one of the cheapest and best suppliers.

I think you can install some software such as CCleaner or Tuneup utilities. These software could help you clean up some useless data. After that, your computer should be can have more space and run faster.

when your computer system can be lagging because of some many thing. first your computer check your hard disk to make sure it is not full then you can also scan your computer for antivirus because virus can also make your system to be lagging if all this is not working then carry your system for formating and reload then your computer system will be back to now.
