My chest suddenly felt tight at all. Can someone help me?

June 24, 2011 1:22pm CST
Yesterday, i did not sleep at all. Then, i tried to rest my body for two hours. When i woke up, i get a headache. I forced myself to go out for a while. And when i got home, i felt my body healthy. I'm really confused. During the afternoon, i went back to try to rest my body. I slept for four hours. And when i woke up, i get a headache, again. Then, i eat to fill my stomach is empty but my head still feels pain. Now, suddenly i felt a shortness of breath. I really do not understand. When i draw a breath, the right side of my chest ached, but not when i exhale. Can someone help me? someone who understands the medical field or who have the same experience as me and could overcome the problem.

You need to drink a plenty of water. Sometimes, dehydration makes us hard to breath and I experienced such thing. I am not sure if where are you from but if you are in the place which is heat is too much be careful about heatstroke. I agreed with other posters, it is better to go to the and had a check up to make every thing is alright. God bless.

it could be a bug like the flu but when it comes to breathing, i would get it checked out by a doctor. that is definitely something you dont want to mess around with.

Hi Herd. It could be costochondritis as it mimics a heart attack. It is but natural for you to have a headache because you had less sleeping hours than usual. Any disturbance in your sleeping pattern can really cause headache.

Many things can cause these problems, but it is best to see a doctor to rule out life threatening illnesses. Asthma and allergies both can cause problems breathing, but so could worse illness like stroke or heart attack. That is why it is best to be seen and sometimes illnesses that do not seem bad to us can be. I had a virus that has moved into my ear drums near my brain and just had special testing to make sure I am not at risk of a stroke so it is always best to be careful and play it safe. The virus made my ears thump for a month then they did a special test and I could not follow a finger with my eyes. That is how they know the virus is affecting my brain.

Please don't wait to long to seek medical attention. Back in February 2005 my husband had a bronchitis infection which he neglected to see a doctor for. By March he couldn't walk but a few feet without being out of breath. He ended up in the hospital ICU for six days. The bronchitis infection weaken his heart and had he not got help when he did, he would have had a heart attack. He still has to take a lot of pills for his heart. Had he took care of the bronchitis infection he may not have heart problems today.

You are over working your body. Your body needs to recharge every day just like the batteries in a cell phone or a DS video games. (That is what I tell my grandson)Take it easy. People who are fatigued tend to get headaches, aches and pains they don't usually have. I get pleurisy sometimes when I am overly tired because I tend to wrap my body up in the fetal position to sleep. Constricts the muscles around my lungs and I have an attack. Hurts big time!
