There's so many songs I feel like I can relate to. Lyrics are the best parts of music in my opinion, and I've discovered the sweetest lyrics to the saddest lyrics. What lyrics are the most meaningful to you? What's the artist and what's the song name?

Garth Brooks' song "Standing Outside the Fire," about how you've got to risk 'going up in flames' to do what the world needs you to do.

I LIKED THE FOLLOWING SONG SUNG BY MISS ANNA IN AMERICA HAS GOT TALENT PROG ON 21ST. I am from India. I have never heard any english song keenly. this one impressed me because it has a lot of meaning and sung by a girl of 11 years age: "Some people live for the fortune Some people live just for the fame Some people live for the power, yeah Some people live just to play the game Some people think that the physical things Define what's within And I've been there before But that life's a bore So full of the superficial" This girl was selected by all the three judges for the next round. I AM IMPRESSED BY THE UNDERLYING MESSAGE IN THIS SONG. I do not who has written this. But I appreciate whole heartedly the content of this song.

Hello! I agree that the lyrics are the best part of music and while other people prefer the melody, I prefer the lyrics first, then the melody :) That said, I can say that there are a lot of songs that I like because of their lyrics, I can't even enumerate them all ^^ But most of Pearl Jam, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Vanessa Carlton, Jewel, and Michelle Branch's songs. Or shall I say, most of the bands in the 90's. Most songs nowadays don't have meaningful lyrics, most are just for propaganda and sensationalism. On the top of my head though, there's one song that I can say I really love the lyrics. Drops of Jupiter by Train. I love the part: "Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken, your bestfriend always sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong. Can you imagine no first dance, freeze-dried romance, five-hour phone conversation, the best soy latte that you ever had....and me?" :)

I like lyrics of the song entitled "Time of your Life" by Greenday. Though the song seems a bit short, it always reminds me on how we should live our lives..

I just love this song too. I used to listen a lot when I was a teenager and the lyric was so meaningful to me at the time. Still is.

There are so many songs that their lyrics touched me. But, for me, the more meaningful lyric is from the Luther Vandross song "Dance With My Father". The best part for me is when he sings: "If I could get another chance Another walk, another dance with him I'd play a song that would never end How I'd love love love to dance with my father again" Seriously, just read the lyrics already makes me sad.

I love the song Slide Away by Oasis, especially this acoustic version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHcKcAzjlYA I just think Noel Gallagher is such a good songwriter, some of the lyrics he comes up with are amazing.

I can't type out all of the song lyrics that mean a lot to me, however I think it's amazing the way we sing lyrics to songs on a daily basis without really realising the words that we are saying until they become meaningful to us. When an artist writes a song, they write the lyrics usually based upon something that they have experienced themselves. When you take this into account, some songs are incredibly sad because you know that there is real life pain behind the sad lyrics that are given to us in the music of the songs.

So many to choose from... this is almost impossible! I guess I'll make it easy on myself and just share the lyrics I've used (or am planning to use) for my tattoos... From my favorite band Kill Hannah (there is seriously at least one striking lyric in every one of their songs...Mat Devine is an amazing poet...): "As your wings discard their feathers on the ground, I see a halo up above you." - Crazy Angel "Universe, wrap your arms around me. Make me strong, so I can take on anyone." - Why I Have my Grandma's Sad Eyes "I'll be brave tonight." - Kennedy Also... "Don't wait to lay your armor down." - Don't Wait by Dashboard Confessional "Swim for the music that saves you when your not so sure you'll survive." - Swim by Jack's Mannequin

I love the song of James Morrison that is entitled You give me something. The song is a good love song to sing to your love one. It is really soothing and romantic. His voice is magical as well as the lyrics. I love the part I think it's something like this, "I never thought that I'd love someone, that was someone else's dream."Try to listen to it..
