Wow Horda! You really are catching up here in Mylot!
Listening to others is more important than talking. In fact, this is a lot harder to do when you are being fried by a disappointed client. I have tried with all my patience to refrain from talking because i might spill the wrong words in disgust.
This is a lot effective when a friend seeks for an advise. There are many times though that i do not know what to say to console a friend. I just stand there and listen and let her wail it all out. Hence, even if you cant say a thing, just being there and listening to a friend is soo effective. Listening means a lot to everyone.

One is not more important than the other. People must know when to listen and know when to talk. An individual's opinions are more respected when he or she listens to the person they are talking to and jumps in when it is necessary and anticipated. Conversation is a two-way street...

if you listen to other people, then only, they will allow you to talk, that is my personal thinking.
So, if in case, you're going to talk on a particular topic, you should be able to listen to the opinion of people around you, or related to that particular topic for that matter!

hello,
I am really agree to you, because it is better to listen first before we discuss about it. Because if we first talk their are possibilities that we make mistakes. Those kind of people are those we can call bossy one because they want to say that they really know what they are talking about but is not.

True as truth can be - I have experienced this myself. When attending a public discourse on a topic, audience are invited to ask questions after the speaker has completed - I found that people are more focused on working out their question/ comment in their mind, rather than listening to the question answer session going on, leading to duplication of questions !
