'Stargate' withdrawal!

I'm really suffering since I had to give up my full TV package just over a year ago. I loved all the Stargates and looked forward to my weekly fix of great Sci Fi (or is it SYFY now?), fun characters and just terrific storylines! The original, and I mean ORIGINAL, film was so good!
Being in the UK, I can't stream any of the TV episodes. Believe me, I've tried!
Any fans out there?

I was extremely impressed with Stargate when it first appeared on television, but sadly the storyline soon began to lose impetus. The concept was quite original and the scientific theories, despite being totally fictional, were quite good. The whole idea seemed great and I followed the series with real interest. Unfortunately the weekly episodes soon began to degenerate to a more mundane level and the storyline often tended to revolve around personal issues of the main characters. I realise that this is a natural process that occurs with most programmes at some time, but it still tended to detract from the overall value of the series.
I do admit that there were still some excellent episodes which covered a wide variety of situations, but we seemed to reach a state whereby I could no longer be confident that I would enjoy the current week's episode. I do still watch Stargate at times, although I no longer make a special effort to ensure that I catch each episode.

The Ori series was ok, but got kind of stupid at times. If you ever see it, you will know what I am talking about I think.

I am sooo bummed they stopped filming the Stargates. SG1 is my ultimate favorite series. I liked it better when Tilk was gold though. It made it seem more realistic that he was different than everyone else.
Have you tried Bit Torrent? I used to dl the episodes I missed so I could watch it.
The SciFi channel has gone to the birds as of late. There aren't any really intriguing series on anymore, since they did away with the Gates. Er, I guess they do call it SyFy now. That change really bugs me. lol.
I have noticed Firefly is going strong on another channel. I forget to watch it because it is on a different channel. I sort of like that one.

I can watch Sky on internet, but for some reason they won't let you watch Stargate. I did contact them and they said they had no plans for changing this rule, seems you can only watch Stargate on televison. That bugs me to Syfy, it's stupid and can't see the reason for changing it. It will always be and should stay sci-fi, the correct acronym for it, syfy is grammatically incorrect.

What is Sky? That is new to me, I have never heard of it.
Changing the spelling of Sci-Fi seems to have dumbed down the concept of the channel in a way.
