Today i have a little fever and cough, hence have stayed all the day in home and have chances to mylot for a long while. After commenting to the responses i got and responding to some interesting topics, i wished to start a discussion and had some good topics too. So, in the morning i typed it but later i thought not to post as i felt that it will not be attractive. Minutes ago, again i typed a discussion and again cancelled because i thought this discussion will show my braveness or courtesy and i will be praised and someone may think that i have posted to get applauded. so both are cancelled and those cancelled discussions have influenced me to start this discussion.
Did you ever cancelled a discussion from posting after typing the whole content? If so, then why?
have a great day to you all.

Well as for me I haven't type a good deal of the discussion yet then deciding to scrap it. Usually, I scrap it even before I ever tried to type it. I often times had a topic in my mind, then I would change it, then I would think that it is a nice post, then after I would not post it. Quite similar to you without typing in the contents first. Maybe, I do hesitate with the topic I had in mind. I doubt it to be interesting to a lot of people. I guess, until now I'm trying to figure out a nice topic that I think will be very interesting for my fellow myLotters. Haha!

Hi agentgulaman....
I am not a frequent starter of discussion and think a lot before starting a discussion. This was the first time that i cancelled my discussion twice after typing the content. I always try to pay attention from lotters and thats why i cancelled the discussions.

Maybe it's from the fever, Shiby.
That normally tend to do something to the brain, i think.
And no, i normally start a discussion and get it over with.

Hello shibham,
Its bad you are not well today but its great that you will have more time to spend on MYLOT and have time to talk to friends.
By the way it never happened to me because i rarely starts discussions of my own. I like to respond on others discussion more.Though whenever i have to start a discussion i start thinking it for at least one day before in my mind and then start discussion so there is scope of canceling my discussion.
Any way by cancelling also you have created a good one.

Hmm... sometimes fever and cough works positive. lol
Well, i have not seen your discussions but sure i shall check just completing commenting here. So, it seems that you are more sincere than me in posting a discussion... thats good and praiseworthy.
hahaha, you are right.... failure is the pillar of success.

Usually when I think of a topic, it never succeeds to get posted. I rehearse, rephrase and do everything in my mind, but then the final words come: No, not good enough or No, you won't have time to follow the responses and all those no nos. Honestly, I've lost interest...
But iff I have gone ahead and typed it already, it HAS to get through. If connection is bad, I'll save it to my PC.. but it has to be posted sooner or later. Can't see my work go waste :)
Happy to hear your fever vanished, hope so will the tiredness that followed.

Hi friend...
Hi, you seem more sincere and its really needy to make a good position on mylot. Usually i just write and post and check grammatical error as i am not a native english speaker, then post.
But the discussion should be interesting so that it can pay attention of lotters.
Thanks and have a nice day.... 2.

Fever at the week-end?
I hope it soon passes.
Yes I have a topic that I have been ready to postt three times already in the last few months but I haven't done. I prepared it all the first time and then copied it and saved it and it is still there waiting. It has to be the 'right' moment when I post it or it might be misunderstood

@ Rich:
I would not make a discussion about that or there would be none left by the time they reached you
The right time is when I have time to be here to follow up on any responses (if they arrive). I don't like posting a new topic and then leaving abd going off and doing something else and as that seems tobe the case a lot of late, I won't be posting it for a long time yet (though I have others too )

Nope, you're not the only one. Sometimes I'll have this awesome idea!! I'll create a new discussion, think up some witty title for it, and type out two nice paragraphs. But then when I sit back and read it to myself, it somehow doesn't sound right. I'll try to fix it up and make it good but by that time I'm already frustrated, so I end up scrapping it. Totally normal, for me at least. Actually, I just did this today! Lol!

Hi shibham
Sorry to hear of your cough and fever, I hope you start feeling better soon. Yes I did type one out once and then hit cancelled only because I looked at the clock and realized I would not have time to comment back the way I am accustomed to. Therefore, I thought about starting it another time at an earlier time but then lost interest with it. lol
You are not alone I think it happens to some others too.

Hi HWG
yes, fever is over but feeling tired. I have got the point here.... do you think that we should watch the mylot time before starting a discussion? as it can catch all 24 hours and chances are there to get highest rated discussion? lol. I think you considered that....hehehe.

Hi surekha...
At the starting my english was also so poor but now i think i have improved myself. So, its not a big issue that you will be rejected for your english because all the members dont take the vocabulary or grammar seriously.
My fever is over but feeling tired....

Well i do not write too much discussions because topics do never come in my mind so quickly... it happens that most of the times I get topics for discussions when i observe something in my surroundings... I never cancel topics once they are started by me... I feel like this is just a website and you can share any of your opinions so i think that no one will eat you if you once start a discussion weather it is about bravery and all.... Well never think about cancelling... Always think you are just composing a discussion on a web site....

Hi eshaan...
yes, i have seen that you post less discussions and give priority to standard and quality discussions as far my memory is concerned. You are right that we can start any issue here but the impacts of that certain topic is essential. We cant overlook it and thats why i cancelled those two topics.

I have typed up discussions then discarded them. Usually because the subject would attract people who get verbally abusive because they are so passionate about the topic and I just didn't want to deal with that.
