Ever hear a new song that just catches you so much that you play it over and over again? I tend to do that with songs that are dancey and upbeat and just generally make me feel good. The most recent song to do that to me is "Kissed It" by Macy Gray, featuring Velvet Revolver. Have you heard it? It's so much fun LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97FY700PDQs I hear it and I just want to dance Give it a listen and jump up and join me! What songs never fail to make you happy, no matter what kind of day you're having?

I love that song AND the movie. When my daughters and I are in the car and acting goofy, we'll do that "head bop" - people must think we're idiots

I don't often dance to music, even when I'm enjoying it. but old New Orleans Jazz, Ska and the band faithless make me dance a lot. I can't stop moving.

You have very cool taste in music, Galena :) New Orleans Jazz is incredibly uplifting. I wasn't familiar with Faithless but I've been listening to a few of their songs on youtube. Feelin' Good has a fun video!

I also highly recommend We Come 1, Insomnia, God is a DJ, Salva Mea, and Weapon of Mass Destruction. brilliant band. I'm not much into dance music, but they're so positive and uplifting. whenever I've seen them live, I've come out of there sweat drenched, grinning, and feeling like I love everyone in the room.

I love the beat of the Macy Gray song too :)) A lot of people are not fans of her voice, which is rather unique, but I think the rhythm of the song is the fun part. Tina Turner is amazing! She's not a young woman anymore but she is still so energetic! And those legs... wow!

Yes there are a lot of songs that can make me dance. One song is Just Dance by Lady Gaga. It is really a fun song and the beat is nice. I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga but I like this specific song.

I don't know if you listen to Korean songs but there's this new song here by the boy band names 2pm and the song's name is "Hands up". I love it. Been listening to it since it was released and still makes me hyper. And the song that makes me happy no matter what is probably Please don't stop the music by Rihanna.

I've never listened to Korean music before but thank you! That was fun I went to youtube to hear "Hands Up" and it's very dancey. So, 2PM is sort of like a "boy band"? They look like they are having a great time performing and the audience loved them. I was familiar with "Please don't stop the music" and it's a really upbeat song too.

Thank you, ravisivan! I was not at all familiar with this type of music and I found it very interesting to watch these videos. I love to learn new things, especially where music is concerned. My goodness - such beautiful ladies in that first video!

"The girl reminds my crush during my undergrad. She was a year junior. We always exchanged smiles, but the irony is we spoke only twice. Now we are miles? apart and donno where she went. Those were days I used to wait just to see her face, but never had guts to approach her :( ohhhh i love this song.... brings back the olden ways of expressing? love!!!!! soooo sweet... :):):)" these are not remarks posted by me. these appear online. that is the advantage of internet. One can communicate to another even though the other person is not before us. have a nice day.

Well that was FUN! I was listening to it on youtube and my daughter comes down the hall, "Why are you listening to Barbra Streisand???" So - dance break! Apparently "everyone" at her school is singing that one too!
