Well, if you really can't remove the virus from your computer even you have downloaded anti-virus software, there are three things you can do. One, switch to another anti-virus software, I am using Kaspersky instead of Avast, you can download a trial version with full functions from the official website (http://www.kaspersky.com/). I think sometimes different anti-virus softwares perform differently and some of them may not be able to find some kinds of virus. It is worthy for you to give other anti-virus softwares a try. (but remember to uninstall the previous one first or it may lead to system failure) Second, if the anti-virus software tells you that nothing is found in your computer, it may probably because it is a new virus. You can try to type out the "symptoms" of your computer and find it on the search engine. Some computer experts always provide solutions online, giving you the instructions on how to remove the virus by hand instead of using any anti-virus softwares. The last move is, if you still cant remove the virus, then do format the computer. But remember to back up the files in your computer and get the windows CD prepared before formatting your harddisk. I have done it myself before, although it is time consuming, it is not difficult to do. The most challenging part is download the drivers for soundcard and other components in my computer as it was an old model. It is not easy to find them online. And it is good if you can find all these stuff before formatting your computer. Hope it helps!

Hii Just make sure that your antivirus is not stopping the game from playing. Sometimes antivirus will also be cause of game not launching. If virus is not gone after formatting, then try to delete every partition of your HDD then re create. This method have never fail for me and my friends. But make sure create backup of important files or folders. Always keep antivirus and firewall when you are connected to internet. Try to use Kaspersky Internet Security. If you got some problem then PM me. If i have say something wrong don't take to heart because I am a newbie here. Thanks

I think many of computer users have experienced this problem. I have faced this several times. Last time it was on 08th June'2011. The anti-virus are not protecting all time. I am using Quick Heal Antivirus and it is updating regularly, yet I faced the problem. I had to format the HDD and failed to recover my files.
