it truly is a milestone when you hear this! This weekend I know of a couple who are hitting this milestone! Roger, the husband,is 75 and still works part-time during the school year,at the college I work at. His wife Sharon is two years younger. You can still see they love each other after all this time! They are a cute couple!

It is a union made in heaven! I know they aren't drinkers. Maybe clean living is the key here! It also helps they have similar interests. They do things away from each other and they have worked on this marriage!

Nowadays, it is seldom you'll see couples growing old together. This generation is full of divorce, annulments and cheating. Congratulations Roger and Sharon. Can you ask them a question for me, how did they maintain the love alive through these years?

Their love is maintanced through the years because they had two children. They have have hobbies they both enjoy doing together. They also do thing seperating,at times, like he has a caving cluc (he craves things out of wood) and she does things with her lady freinds. They also work at their marriage! Today so many marriages end in divorce or annulment becuase people don't work at their marriages! Plain and simple!

That's so sweet. I hope they stay together forever. Just goes to show you that couples can work out their problems and stay together. I hope my husband and I stay together that long. Were working on 5 years now. And I bet it would be pretty hard to find someone else at that age. Cuz I hate being alone.

Nowadays so many people rush into marrriage and have no idea what they are getting into! When they do,it doesn't take long before a divorce comes along! People need to work at a marriage and it sure looked like my friends did!

My wife and I were married in 1955,and we raised 4 boys. We live in Ontario Canada on a farm my Grandfather bought in 1905. We produce honey, and together with our oldest son, we are running 1200 colonies of bees. We are both in our late 70's, and we spend 5 months each winter in South Texas where we holiday, and among other things, eat the Grapefruit that grows in our back yard.

50 years is huge! it is so rare that you hear of couples still together after 10 years these days. This is a nice story. Especially if it is obvious that they still really love each other. You see a lot of couples stick together that are so miserable with each other but the ones that still love...that's worth celebrating. That's awesome!!

Hi Blue! My parents have been together for almost 40 years. They couple you mentioned did hit their milestone. 50 years!!Most of the veterans I know they stay together for along time and still love each other. Unlike couple nowadays it is hard to see them together more than 3 years. After 3 years they will divorce or live separately. I think the young couples should learn from the veterans on how to manage and maintained their good relationship.

It's really nice to hear of people who stay together after so many years. Really envious of them. I believe that many of us hope that we'll be able to stay together with our partner that long too. This husband is really strong. 75 years old but still teaching part-time. It's really nice to hear that there's another couple who has been together for so long and this makes me feel more hopeful about marriage.

They sound like a couple at the Kingdom Hall i go to. Only the couple i know are a little older and been married a bit longer. Her eyes lit up so when she tells me how long they have been married. Seems like her smile is so much bigger then too.
