Twitter and Mylot

Do you think Mylot is somewhat similar to Twitter? I personally don't have a twitter account but hearing my friends talk about their posts on twitter, I would say Mylot is somewhat similar to my twitter, just better though. In mylot we post ideas and questions that are worth talking about. With twitter, I think there are a lot of hate, procrastinations, unnecessary tweets. Probably the reason is because of the lack of rules. There's too much freedom there that are sometimes abused.

Hi there, I cannot see any relation with myLot and or twitter as I really do not see running discussions and or conversations there. Sure a few maybe but not really about a specific topic and or stays with the subject. I only use Twitter to market my published articles and don not use it to really update status or anything of the sort. But I know there are many that do and enjoy it very much. I remember recently a member responded to something a bit similar saying we could tweet a discussion and possibly draw some interest that way. Might be worth looking into. lol

Twitter on the lighter has a positive use after all. We can use it as our marketing vehicle where we can promote our articles for free.

I don't really consider Twitter as a social site. It's more of a social media for me. I use it to post my links and share my articles. I don't engage in any discussions so I don't think it's the same with MyLot ip.

So how can you earn followers if you don't make friends? I'm planning on using twitter for this purpose too. How do you make friends there? Or do you invite your online friends to follow you on twitter?

Yes. I follow them and sooner or later someone else would follow me, as well. Say you register for Twitter. You have no friends yet; but you can search for me and follow me. I then will follow you. Since I have lots of followers already, you can also follow whoever I'm following. Usually, they'd follow you as well. Then, just wait for others who are also looking for more followers, soon someone would follow you too. You won't even notice that you've already made a lot of contacts there. That's what happened to me.

I think Mylot and Twitter are quite different. Here in Mylot it is better to write longer posts since they will be regarded as the qualified ones. As to Twitter, it has a limitation to how many words you should write down. It seems you can only write down about 140 words. And therefore sometimes I think it is not enough for me to write whatever I like. I love China

Hi youless, I added you on my friend's list now. Please locate my name on your list. It's nice reading your responses to both of my discussions.

Actually myLot and Twitter is totally different. myLot is a forum where you can start and respond to discussions. There is no limit in the number of words or characters in each discussion or response. Twitter is a micro-blogging site. You can update what you are doing at the moment. You can use it to promote your articles or websites. However you are limited to a certain number of characters per tweet. To me, there is less interactions in Twitter compared to myLot.

Thanks sydneyhazelton. As a matter of fact, beingwell gave me an idea. That we follow each other so we can be on track with your articles. We will know if you have posted something new, then of course we'll visit one another. I am juliedlacson in twitter if you want to follow me. I'll do the same for you.

No twitter and my lot are totally different things.First of all twitter doesn't pays you to tweet or anything whereas mylot does.In twitter the number of character per tweet is limited and here we can write as long as we want. Its totally two different things , you should join twitter then you will know itself.

I just made a tweet as a response to a celebrity's post. I don't know what will happen after that. Are they going to see what I have just posted?

What's wrong with the freedom on Twitter? The purpose of Twitter is for everyone to be able to say what they want to say, even if other people don't like it. With that said, there may be a few similarities but MyLot's more for longer discussions. Of course you can have a long discussion on Twitter as well, and probably a lot easier too since you can access Twitter even when you're not at the computer.

This one I might want to explore further. I hope I'd get to feel what the bandwagon is experiencing. I hope to enjoy it someday or as I further explore it. For now, I just followed a famous celebrity. hehehe

It's really fun if you follow good people, and get a good group of people to follow you back. Takes a little getting used to also, but after a few days you should get the hang of it. Do you have a Twitter account? If you need some help just send me a message, I'll follow you and answer any questions you might have :)

No, MyLot is not anything like Twitter in the slightest. With Twitter, you can only send "tweets" of up to 140 characters at once, whereas MyLot is more for conversations and discussions, which tend to be a lot longer. The internet is a place where many people post things that they wouldn't say to people in real life because it's anonymous they find it much easier to do this; however you can literally get people like that anywhere; it isn't by any stretch of the imagination unique to either MyLot, nor Twitter.

I've got a twitter account that I will use from time to time. However, I don't think that there is really any kind of similarity between mylot and twitter. Twitter really limits how much you are able to say while on mylot, yes, there are rules about what we are allowed to talk about, but we can talk until we are blue in the face whereas on twitter, you are limited to just 140 characters which isn't nearly enough if you ask me.

I think that Mylot and Twitter are two completely opposite sites with different functions;I use Mylot to discuss about everything that comes to my mind,as well as to have fun and earn.I also use Twitter to promote my articles or referral links and I think it can be a useful tool even at attracting new referrals to Mylot, for example.I don't know what to say about lack of rules on Twitter,I guess there are much more posts full of hate on Facebook;I haven't sen to many tweets like that so far.

Mylot & Twitter, I don't think they are similar. Mylot pays(as I am made to belive) me for using their site, Twitter does not. Infact, I think Twitter is boring. Apologies...
