Sleeping is needed by the body to rest and reorganize itself. Maybe you should refer to acting asleep as equal to laziness. If you always get up late then it means your body is just paying out its sleep deficit. You can avoid that by sleeping early. Early to bed should mean early to rise. Avoid being nocturnal or forcing your body to be awake at night time. It disrupts your body clock or the nature of the body's rest mechanism. Just sleep tight!

Welcome to Mylot Ying!
I dont think that sleeping equals lazy. I would better describe sleeping as a way of rejuvenation and not escaping from tasks.

hello friend....
I also used to do like you....I woke up very late and its not in the morning...it is very near to noon ...But the main reason is I go to bed very late too...
So the think you do is that go to bed early ...then you can woke up early..there is no doubt about it.....may be previously you will have some problem to woke up early...but with a little practice you can do it easily...

In my own opinion, sleeping is essential for a person's health and wellbeing. Our body needs seven to eight hour of sleep a day. Maybe you have good reason why you got up very late. Maybe you are tired, or you were not able to sleep comfortably. Or you missed sleep. Sleep is cumulative, if you lose sleep one day, you feel it the next day.
I also love to sleep. But, I wake up early in the morning because I need to go to the office. In my own experience, daytime sleepiness interfere with my daily activities. In order to make myself more alert, reduce stress and improve cognitive functioning, i do powernap. :)

I have one suggestion. I use to wake up late also. However, after i have one roommate that wake up quite early in the morning, she changed my habit. I at least wake up one or two hours earlier compared to before this, even though i did not wake up same time as her. I feel thankful to her.

Once you've trained yourself to be very productive, sleeping too much soon equates to laziness. I know for myself that if I sleep too much, I get headaches at the end of the day.
I hope that by now, you've figured out a way not to sleep too much, and not feel too lazy!

Encourage yourself to get up earlier than usual. Find something important to do, start a plan or something. I used to be like that, but I just can't waste anymore time right now. I still have a goal, and a dream to accomplish during my lifetime. I can't just stay in bed all that time.

Not necessarily. It depends on how late you slept the night before. Of course if you have slept late during the night, then it means also that you will wake up late, just so , that you will have a complete hours of sleep.

Sometimes, I feel the same thing. When I wake up really late, I always think that was a waste of time and that I was supposed to be doing something better, like studying or something like that. But, I have to say that I just love sleep! :)
I usually have to sleep 10 hours per day to feel good on the next day! It's a lot for some people, but it's so good, right?

Next time if you worry waste too many time, then set the alarm. But normally i don't care this so much. I like 'nature' wake up when holiday, haha. If i wake up so late, that mean i 'm so tired.
I just worry , i over sleeping and make me more tired.
And when i sick, i sure direct go sleep. Hope tomorrow will better, then continue work.

Haha. I enjoy sleeping too. Many days of the year, actually the warmer ones, it is pretty normal to feel momre sleepy. Sleeping time is not really wasted time. Probably your body is in need of some sleep. Make sure you go to bed at normal times and not too late.. It will help your body clock adjust the right way. And always keep in mind, oversleeping is kinda better than insomnia.:P

Quite strange that someone who likes to sleep called slackers or people who are reluctant to sleep called diligent.
I think, sleep matters nothing to do with laziness.
but yes, if sleeping carried to excess, then it will become a bad habit that make us become slacker...

Well we all need sleep, so I wouldn't call it lazy. Too much sleep might be lazy, but not a little bit every day. If you're annoying yourself with how much you're sleeping in then maybe you should try to get up just a little bit earlier every day. Try putting your alarm across the room so you have to get up to turn it off. That sometimes works for me. (sometimes.)

Sleeping is not laziness. Sleeping when you close your eyes, rest your mind, in this way your mind and soul is healing from stressors during daytime. Being lazy is a different thing, it is when you are disinclined to work, and you do not want to exert any effort.
I suggest you take coffee to stimulate yourself and be ready for the day, sometimes food affects your physical mood.:)
