It is rainy season here in the Philippines. If the rainy days come, we cannot avoid illnesses to strike. Fever, colds, cough, diarrghea, and the like. During these days, I have to advice everyone to care of your health. Track down what you eat and drink because these can be major factors of those illnesses. I was hit by flu and have been suffering for a week now. Do not take for granted about your health as it can affect everything. Take note that, "Prevention is better than cure"

hi, yes rainy season , it teaches a lot to be careful.I agree the same things as "Prevention is better than cure". HOwever sometimes we do fall ill although we take lot of care.It is just we should be careful more than what we did in other seasons.
Water should be boiled and cooled down for drinking regularly this will prevent most of the illness to us, Keeping out area neat and clean without any dirt and dust will prevent the flu .Not eating outside food will prevent most of the food poisoning.Keeping clean and warm will help us in this rainy season.

hi,The street food stalls do not even take care of hygience and healthy way of giving customers proper food. They just wash the things which are used by one person and just hand to other person with food. They do not even use hot water cleaning. And i do not think the food they prepare is fresh and not stored from previous day.
Its very difficult for us to confidently tell whether we are eating good food which is served. If we prepare at home then we willbe taken care of everything , because its our health and if we fall sich then we are the only one to suffer no one else.
Money we pay like anything but we should check whether we are getting the absolute return for the money which we pay.

Your public advisory message struck me! I am on the verge of getting sick now! I mean sick of going to work! The streets were flooded and even my umbrella didn't save me from getting wet. If only there exists suspension of work. But honestly, I haven't been feeling well lately. Maybe due to the changes now that the rainy season is here. Also the gloomy environment isn't helping at all.

I used to have that kind of feelings before. Living in Manila area specifically along or near Espanya part and you go to work in Quezon City? Whew! That was annoying when rainy days come. I hate it because the flood can ruin my day even when there is no storm.
Oh yeah, when the day is gloomy, it can affect your mood. I hate it too.

Yes, we should take extra care of our health especially during raining season. I always make sure that all my food are well cooked before i and my family eat them. Besides that, we must always boiled the water before consume them as well. All these are the basic ways to prevent ourselves from getting sick easily. After all, no one wants to be sick as eating medicine is not a happy experience for everyone.

We had storm on the past few days, and finally I did got sick from the rain yesterday while I was getting myself wet in the parking lot. Thankfully, it wasn't that serious, otherwise, I might have to call in sick, and take a day off.

Eat lost of fresh fruit. Papayas are good for the immune system. Pineapple juice is GREAT if you're fighting a flu. And don't forget every mother's advice: Drink you're vitamins!

Yeah, rainy season is here.If I may say there are pros and cons.Farmers will be happy because it's the start for them to prepare their fields for planting their crops and sad to say too that in other areas where farmers are waiting for a few days to harvest their crops but due to heavy rains it was destroyed by floods.
Many low lying areas are also flooded because of heavy rains that leads to cancellation of classes and some offices. It's also the time where most of us can easily get sick if we are not cautious.Take care always.

Yes, I agree with you. Prevention is better than cure. Nowadays, food is no longer simply for fill, but for maintaining a healthy life through a balanced diet and food supplements. Since it is almost impossible for us to get the right amount of nutrients from our modern diet, supplements are very essential to give the proper nutrition our body needs. "Health is Wealth" We have only one body, and we should take care of it. We should stay healthy in an unhealthy world. Get well soon my dear, drink lots of water. :)

I'm pregnant right now and I chose to take an extra effort of preventing sickness and flu for my baby. Rainy season is already common in our country during these months. Try to get a hold of your vitamin c every now and then. Try not to go outside when it's chilling out there and do yourself a favor to take a warm bath if it's raining. Medicines are quite expensive nowadays so it's really helpful to take a lot of care during the rainy season.

Yes prevention is much better than cure. When i'm too busy and have too many work to finish, I try my best to take vitamins to help my immune system. Especially nowadays when the weather is so unpredictable. One moment it's sunny and the next it's raining cats and dogs. If I don't take vitamins, I do eat fruits with plenty of vitamin C.
I hate getting flu and it's my worst enemy.
