Peril and God.

Whenever there is peril, God sends someone to tackle it; so goes an age-old saying. I think that you all must admit that we are now passing through a perilous phase of life in this world. This time, whom do you think God is going to send or has already sent to save mankind? Or do you at all believe that there is any truth in the age-old saying or do you think there is actually any peril at present?

Well here in Greece, we sure need someone to get us out of this mess. But somehow, I don't think it will be through divine intervention! That's not to say that God wont be involved. Most of the politicians think they are God! Then there's a certain currency that has "In God we trust" written all over it, and that is proving to be worth next to nothing. If God is going to send someone then, please, not another corrupt banker!

I may not agree with your telling - we are no passing through a perilous phase of life in this world. -- sorry. It depends on perception. • A lot of information reaches the eye, but much is lost by the time it reaches the brain (Gregory estimates about 90% is lost). • Therefore, the brain has to guess what a person sees based on past experiences. We actively construct our perception of reality. • Richard Gregory proposed that perception involves a lot of hypothesis testing to make sense of the information presented to the sense organs. • Our perceptions of the world are hypotheses based on past experiences and stored information. • Sensory receptors receive information from the environment, which is then combined with previously stored information about the world which we have built up as a result of experience. • The formation of incorrect hypotheses will lead to errors of perception . HOWEVER IN TIMES OF NEED, a powerful person will emerge from somewhere and he will help a country, group of people or the world. God only creates good people and bad people. god only makes people good and bad. So it is for him to send a good person in whatever form he wants to help us all.

Err... How long does it take you to perceive the peril after it has hit you? A hypothesis is used when you don't know something for sure. A law is a proven fact. Something unknown to science is called magic. When you don't believe in magic you call on God.

I think that is probably quite true god does send someone to tackle perilous situations as he does work through others though we may not know who it is and they are and they may not even know that god is working through them. Its like a story i heard in church about a man hanging off a cliff who refused the help of someone in a boat, plane and helicopter as he thought god would save him and when he fell off the cliff and got to heaven he asked god why he never saved him and god said how he sent the person in the boat, plane and helicopter.

I don't see the peril. Sure there will always be problems for mankind. That is sauce for the goose. Mankind has a much greater education than ever before. Mankind is on the edge of many great discoveries that will not only solve many problems but extend life greatly. We must look up. The sun is shining. It shines even if there is a little rain. Let's don't give up the ship just yet!!

I believe that all people are facing some sort of peril at all points during their lives. I also think that there is something or someone that is always there to help us through those trials in our lives. The thing is, I don't think that people always see the things that are around us that are able to help us through the challenges that we face in our lives. So, I do believe that there is peril at present, but I also believe that there are vehicles that will help us through those things, we just might not recognize it.

I haven't heard of this saying but I think it's true. Everytime we get ourselves in trouble, it seems God is always there to save us. It's like He's always looking over us in everything we're doing that's why I think we should be honest in everything that we think and do.

Well,I also wonder about the one who will save mankind. But personally, I think, God this time, wants us to be the one who have a control for our self. To save our self, by being honest and to come to terms of who we really are.

Dear friend, I feel God has lot and lots to give. If the humans do take it in the right way. The old saying has some thing that could be came out from those old people's experience in life. May be there are many mysteries in this world which is also a part of God wish.

Hi DoctorDidi, It's true that we are going through a tough time right now and maybe someone will arise who is able to take charge, but it would have to be a very special person. I think the job may be too big for one person. Already there are some people in the world who are bringing new hope to many. Blessings.

I question this saying. If Fate takes a hand then we might hold a chance. Depends on what is in mind. We are going down a very parilous trail. The sleeping profit would have a better handle on it all. Or maybe Norstradomas. For there is any truth in the age-old saying I guess it won't be long now until we see what is to be.

I think that there are large numbers of people who are working to help all mankind. How much they can help only history will show. Mother earth is changing as she does and her time table has no regard for human time. But each little bit of positive energy you an activate combinded with that of the many others that are dedicated toward man's improvement and survival will help. Prayer is a good way to direct that energy.

You are right to say that there is a peril to come soon or he has arrived because I think that our end is very near to happen.

Just think about something that happened in the world that is not solved. There would hardly antyhing. God must be seen in those situations. He is there in those people work so hard to bring solution to those problems.
