Talk about the Twilight Zone. I don't know if I am glad to have this ability back or not. When I was younger I was in two pretty bad accidents and in both I had a bad hit on the hit in exactly the same place. I have a scar over a scar. So for years I didn't remember my dreams. And I felt it was because of these accidents. So now lately I can remember a random dream or two. But they are so weird. Lastnight I had a dream about a serial killer and how the detectives finally found him. While up in McCall on vacation I had a weird dream about my grandson and daughter and I. The dreams i recall now are so weird. Is this Karma? Am I just weird? Are they trying to tell me something? Do you have weird dreams? Do you remember them?

When hubby watches too much crime drama while I am around, I get the serial killer dreams as well. Other than that, I know I sometimes have weird dreams when I eat things that are out of the ordinary. If I think I am having a hard time sleeping, I sometimes take Melantonin and I absolutely have weird, and vivid dreams then. One of the strangest dreams I had was after eating a giant dill pickle my grandmother had canned. It is still with me. So I would wonder if you have changed how you eat or your regular routine. Too many underripe apples will do it to me. I have also had weird dreams about one minor aspect of a television show. The dream actually included me being woken by an old fashioned telephone ringing--and that happened several times.

hi I have one I have had off and on only when I am really stressed out.It is usually the same with maybe a few changes but I am in a town I knew by heart with friends that were childhood chums. we were in a cafe and i wanted to go to J C Pennys to shop. the rest wanted to stay there eating for a little longer. so we agreed to meet in the dress section in JC Penny's.well the streets were all changed and I had walked and walked and asked where JC Pennys was and was told I was in Tempe Arizona not Rapid city S.D. I finally ended up in an industrial area where large earth moving machines were digging up trenches.well I found an office and asked if I could use their phone to call for a cab. I was so scared I was shaking and they were very sympathetic and let me use their phone. then of course I wake up and am so relieved i am not lost. Now I was born and raised in South Dakota and worked In Rapid city.Jc Pennys was my favorite store there and I did shop with co workers there.also I moved to tempe arizona when i was in my late twenties. so those were places I really had been.so I guess the being lost was from being stressed out. I have not had one of those in several years.thank goodness as in the dream I was really panicked.

I don't seem to remember mine when I am stressed. I think that GG is right. I did eat differently than usual that night. My daughter and grandson were staying with friends and I ate ribs from a popular place nearby. Delicious. I bet that is why I dreamed like that. Odd dreams you had Hatley.

I think when we are thinking a lot before we go to bed, we tends to dreams a lot. That's what i had experienced when i was thinking too much before winding and go to bed. Most of the time, i tends to forget what i had dreamed. I ever dreamed about killer wanting to hunt down some people in a town, exactly like what i had watched. It do makes me feel scared when thinking about it. So, now i prefer not to watch TV until late of the night, hoping won't dream of something weird and makes me having sleeping problem. Anyway, i think you are not weird since everyone of us tends to get weird dream, some time of our life.

I sometimes leave the tv on and I think I have some odd dreams because of it. Late night tv is the worst. Doesn't stop me though.

I think some of your dream have arise due to watching too much late night TV prior before got to bed. For a change, try watching some funny story before go to bed, i am sure you will dream some funny dream that will makes you laughing. I ever tried it and it does work for me....

I am a very vivid dreamer. I always have been. I dream about people I have never seen and places I have never been. Some dreams are about people I haven't seen in ages. They are odd. I actually got a dream catcher once that had dark purple feathers on it and hung it over my bed...I know this sounds crazy...but two of the feathers bleached out white and I swear I thought it was from my dreams.
I think there are occasions when dreams are trying to tell us something. I have no idea what..but something.

It would be interesting to share some other folk's experiences with dream catchers. I wonder if it bleached out from your dreams. Interesting.
I just saw a doc about dreams and it said that 1 in 12 people have cognitive dreams. I knew a young girl that had these. They really caused her alot of stress. They just lasted for a period of a few months.
I think some of our dreams are trying to tell us something. Most are just stuff we have picked up along the way.
Thanks for your input.

I am a dreamer and i had weird dreams most of the time. Usually they are dreams of my fears and anguish. Sometimes i wake up screaming or with tears on my face. I remember 99% of my dreams every time i wake up.
I don't think it's karma on your part though. People dream different kinds of dreams every time we sleep but it's only a few seconds when we wake up before we forget those dreams. According to what i have read, there's not a single person who doesn't dream when they're asleep but not all can remember their dreams.

My dreams are always very strange and never make any sense. One I remember in particular involved a British panda with a monocle who was chasing me around with a bamboo stick. Tell me how that fits into my daily life, haha! No, you're not weird, and it's not karma. Most people actually don't have rational dreams, it's just that by the time they wake up they either don't remember them or remember very little. I remember my dreams very well, right now I'm focusing on achieving a lucid dream. You might want to try it, it's very fun :)

Well... I guess that's what dreams are. Sometimes it's a total mixture being everything is in the same place. I ever got a dream where i was one of the characters in somekind of a movie or something. Totally real and totally bizarre but totally fake. Cause when I wake up, I realized that it's only a dream. Yikes.
Scientifically, all the dreams you have is because your brain is emitting some kind of a frequency in which all the memories we store into our brains are being replayed. But because of it's unstable condition, the memories being replayed is pretty much random. (Starting from this part, it's opinion. I don't know if it's true or not. I just heard it from someone.) We can see the dream is because the brain unconsciously activated our eyes functionality to see what the brain has projected (creating the scene and the pictures) thus we see what they call dream, even though it's only memories in our mind.
Well... that's the gist of it. Just don't pay attention if you didn't get what I said (or typed) . After All, researchers are still having trouble describing specifically how brain works.

Our brains are amazing! We only use a part of it too. Thanks for you input.

In the Bible, it says that dreams are really what you want to dream about.
Don't pay attention to them unless they are a divine sign.
Joseph had a heavenly dream being warned to leave Nazareth when Herod wanted to kill Jesus.
I had a dream that I should preach the Word of God, especially to those who don't know about the Bible.

Divine sign? I'm an agnostic so I doubt he would contact me that way.
