Mozilla firefox 5.0

Have anyone here try the latest version of mozilla firefox, the 5.0? i curious about this new version, is it really good? is it faster? I still not downloading this 5.0 version yet, i am afraid it somehow will affect my internet activity in ways i do not like :) Every information will be very useful for me. Thanks before :)

I have been using it for several days now and it seems no different from v.4 but I am assured that it is an important security update. The only down side was that a few of my plugins were not compatible, so I am having to wait until they are updated. Fortunately, they weren't ones which I used very often.

Hello owlwings! :) May i know what plugins it is for some example? I have some plugins too, and i seldom download its latest version, i usually ignore to update some plugins which i think not so important for me. Will it be some trouble for me in the future? thank you very much :)

The following are what gave errors: Roboform Toolbar for Firefox is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. avast! WebRep is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. Delicious Bookmarks is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. Evernote Web Clipper is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. IE Tab is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. None of them are very important to me (except Roboform, but I see that I have to buy the new version of that, anyway) and all, I think, were incompatible with FF v.4 Firefox will check for the latest versions and download them automatically, if possible and necessary.

Hello cgirl, I lost some add-ons and plugins between 3.6 and 4, but nothing between 4 and 5. The only difference I noticed is a different way to manage tabs and some cosmetic changes, but nothing in my opinion justifying a new version number. It is supposed to be an important security update, so you should install it.
