As the title sais, how many hours per day do you spend in front of your computer's screen? And what is the reason you use your computer for all those hours? Work? Video games? Internet Browsing and fooling around? I usually spend 3-4 hours per day gaming and a lot more working with my music. When I am recording and mixing a new music track, I can be using my computer for more than 12 hours per day just to get the job done better and faster.

Well, no offense but..., you're a total maniac. Just Kidding. I've only had a maximum of 8 hours though in front of a computer, the rest of the time I've had, I spent it on the dining table,in the bathroom, and especially on the bed. (No details about this! it's private AND off topic!)

haha.. ok.. that's also a way to spend your free time. :P A reason I think that makes me sit in front of the computer screen for so many hours is that I despise TV. I don't spend a minute per day in front of the tv.. they rarely put anything interesting there, so I prefer to search the web and choose the junk I want to watch:P

You are really lucky to have 8 hours free. I wish I could also have that kind of free time where in I can enjoy surfing the net and doing the things I like.

I spend a lot of time gaming, working, and writing. I would say on average it's 8-12 hours. Here's a look at a couple of my blogs that are in upstart mode:

Cool. Pretty nice schedule with a lot of computer time:P I love vacations.. mine are just about to start, so that's a thing i'm really happy about. Video editing is fun too! I remember I used to do some little projects on adobe premiere as well, nothing important though.. I figured out later I was more talented in music composing and editing than in video.:)

I have been spending seven to eight hours a day in fron of the computer, because I use computers at the work place and also at home. At work, I have to do a lot of market research work, and that needs to be using the internet extensively. Internet is the information highway these days. After I get back home, I come on to myLot for a couple of hours again.

Yes, internet is the fastest and most simple way to get or give information. Also it's one of the best ways to entairtain yourself, wether that is listening to music, watching movies, playing video games (especially multiplayer with people around the globe) and pretty much everything else you can imagine, including of course mylot.:P Thanks for taking part in the discussion.:)

Mostly on the computer at work anywhere from 6-10 hours on the days that I do work. I am only part-time so about 25-30 hours per weeks. I would say at home about2-3 hours per day each day even if I am working. mostly reading email, facebook, online earnings and reading news and browsing on website. Occasionally I will play some games on the computer as well.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Of course sitting in front of the computer screen for 10 straight hours at work can give you a headache, so it requires you to have some serious courage to sit in front of the computer once again when you are back at home.:P But at times, it can be so entertaining that you hardly feel any bad at all...i know.:P

Yeah this is a good discussion and I am sure many mylotters would be glad to answer this. Well, as far as I am concerned, I am a freelancer and therefore almost the entire of my work goes on through the internet. That is why I have to be connected to the internet all the while - round the clock. Actually, I use the internet for nearly 6 to 7 hours a day at different times of the day.
So, I am online for nearly 8 hours a day. Some of the work is done when there is no necessity of the net being connected.

Nice! Good luck with your freelancing work! I will probably go for something similar, since I am a sound engineer and composer, and maybe work, at least part time through the internet as well. At the moment I am still looking for the best opportunities for me to work as a composer or sell some of the original music I already composed.

Before I spend 2 hours in a computer but right now, I have this job, I really don't have much time anymore in a computer. Sometimes I really miss surfing the net but there's nothing I can do I need my job.

Yes..i understand. That's the same reason I had to reduce my gaming time as well. You have to spend some time working, then meet a little friends, and if you are in a nice relationship you have to devote there a lot of time too. I'm not complaining though:P, it totally deserves it, plus it's nice gor the head to get some air from time to time..hehe.

I always switch on my computer 3-4 hours a day after I come back from work mostly for facebook and get connected with my friends. But on weekend its gonna be double the time. Maybe 6-8 hours.
