On Saturday, I was eating breakfast and my cat (penney) jump up on the armrest of the recliner to visit. You know pets never beg at my house. Well, anyway I looked at her and then took a double take. The left side cheek was swollen the size of a golf ball. Mind you, on a cat that's huge. I took a closer look. Thought maybe she had an absessed tooth. Upon closer inspection she appear to have gotten scratched. I guess by the other cat. Because penney doesn't go outside. Yesterday, we took her to the vet. Now the wound was the size of a baseball. We got really lucky it didn't erupted. Although, I think penney would've felt better. The vet drain the absess, placed a drain tube, put her on antibiotics and I picked her up. She was so out of it for her. She's doing better today. We have to keep her in a separate room when were not home. Our 2 dogs want to visit. However, I'm afraid they might pull on the tube and we could have larger issues. I'm a little nervous about giving her the medicine. I don't want to traumatize anymore. She's been through enough. I know the medicine's important for her recovery so I'm headed her direction after posting this discussion. "Meouch," Penney said. The vet told me she was a beautiful cat and she really is.
