Whenever i buy something i always see to it that it's worth the prize i'm paying for. So here are some of my considerations in buying a product: 1. I go and check the reviews on how effective the product is especially if it's for a cure, a supplement or a beauty aid, 2. I look for the online stores that sells it at the cheapest but i do check the authenticity by reading more and more about the product, 3. I check if there's a money back guarantee and the consumers' feedback is very important to me, and 4. Lastly, I'm very particular with how the seller communicates with the buyer. I usually have a lot of questions especially if the product is something new and if the seller is not that accommodating then i don't see any point in buying that product at all. I seldom buy new products on impulse. How about you?

Hi toniganzon! That's exactly what I do as well! I believe it is very good to do this, to make sure you do not waste your money, or come to any trouble. Buying online is not as safe, and is a lot more difficult than buying from a regular store, therefore you must take the necessary precautions.

Yes! Thanks. I usually have a thing for products that cannot be bought online. Thus i am very picky and meticulous in checking things out before bidding farewell to my hard-earned money!

It's a really good habit to get into! You should always check things out before spending your hard-earned money.

When i buy some things, i thoroughly check for their durability too. I would usually buy those that are proven to serve a long time. Just lately, i went to the department store to buy a stand fan electric fan. There were lots of beautiful and cheap electric fans, but in the end i end up buying Standard electric fan instead. Though it's costlier, it's still what i bought , because it has been proven to be of the best quality.

Couldn't agree with you more. Why settle for less when you can go for the best!

Ouch! I am an impulsive buyer. I realized I bought some things with great costs because of "spur-of-the-moment" thoughts of buying those things. But recently, I learned my lesson. I controlled myself, if I feel like buying, I pause, and step back. Think/ponder, do I really need that thing? I once thought of buying my Ipad, and I could actually get it at a cheaper price, ALMOST because I am close to having it, but I thought and said, "do I really need this thing?" I have a phone already, not much of a great techy gadget but it serves its purpose. If I get an Ipad, what will be its use for me? Should I get it? Or just a laptop? I already have a PC at home. I have unlimited access of internet at home. So I refrained, and just said, "I'll buy it, if I have extra. For now, I have to decline" and I guess that was a wise choice. Though I am still looking forward to getting my Ipad, the latest version though, but not too soon. Your points here are good tips for buyers. Specially impulsive ones like me. Thanks my friend. See ya around.

Lol! Good that you've thought about it several times before deciding. There are some products that i can't resist and thus I make good reasons why I need lol!

Oh, I wish I could be like you...I am a real impulse buyer, and even though I have learned it over and over again that buying on impulse might lead to regrets later I still can't help myself I always tell myself that I have to see if I would really be needing the things I buy, sometimes it works but most of the times it doesn't because I just get tempted, but this instances are getting lesser and lesser now though as I have really conscientiously budgeted my money...

Nice to know that habit is getting less frequently. Try not to bring a lot of money or just avoid using credit cards.

Having blown so much money on impulse buying then falling on hard times and being completely broke. I've changed my spending habits. I never buy anything right when it comes out. I was fine before it existed and it's only going to get cheaper. In addition, I remind myself that new products are usually buggy and a much better version is soon to come. Then, if I really want something I research it and find the best item with the features I really need, and the best/cheapest place to buy it. Often times a more expensive version offers little more usability. Finally I'll wait a month or so. If I still really want it, then I'll research it again and make the purchase. Often times by waiting on buying something, you'll find a better alternative or forget you even wanted it.

Yes, I use the internet to get a pulse on the price of what I am about to buy. Information is the key out here. Also like you, I do surveying and canvassing with different stores. If it is a big buy I make it a point to list down and weigh in the necessity rating and the price. Also quality is a big factor for me to buy. I treat what I bought to be an investment. If I think I have to buy something of long term importance, I usually buy the pricey items with good quality standards. If it is for short term or disposable use only, I go for cheaper options. Also, I do stock up items. Bulk items come cheaper than buying one by one. Just be sure you will get the best out of your money if you buy in bulk.

hehe, i am the same with you. before i buy something, i often check again and again. Check if its quality is good, or if it looks good. but i think sometime we need some impulse to buy things. it is not a bad thing. anyway, it could save much time , so i think we do not need to check everything before we buy it.
