i love writing - can i make money from it?

i love writing. i mean i just adore it! but can i make money form it? I have written songs for local bands in the past, just lyrics mind you, i can sing, but i couldn't play an instrument to save my life! .. i've written poetry and it's been published online and in a couple of poetry books for charity.. but i'm yet to find a way to make money.. people keep telling me to try a blog, but i can't seem to find any that work for the uk! i tried that tribond i think its called, blog site, but its so formal, and official, i want something more casual, and laid back.. can anyone help me out?

try to send your poems to the editors of the magazine or newspaper that provides a space for poetry.
try to find more competitions on poetry, both writing and reading.
or you can also work with msicians, bands, until the steets musicians,
many are musicians or artists who originated from the streets.

WEll you already found one and it's mylot. It's so laid back, you can just write pretty much anything. Have you heard of triond? Well you can try that one as well.
There are so many earning sites for writers like you. All you have to do is use the search engine here in mylot and try to read reviews of those blog sites that pay. YOu might even get a reward from mylot for using the search engine. So why don't you start that now.

I think Spike the lobster has said almost all. But you can also earn from reviewing products and services you yourself have used. You can go and check Reviewstream for this purpose although they now pay lesser than before, still it is worth trying and I assure you that this site is legitimate because I have been paid a lot of times in this site.

Off course every body has earn some extra cash from its writing skills on internet.It is only demand to research work, writing skills and your own thoughts about topic.It is not easy work but after the some hard work you are able to writing article.Many freelancing websites offer to its member to write different writing tasks.
