Mid-Life Crisis?

My Father had a mid-life crisis a couple of years back, and he bought a brand new caravan and also a new car, which must have cost him at least $50,000 altogether. He took the car back in the end and sold the caravan because he realised that he did not need it to be happy. My Mother is going through her mid-life crisis now, and this is showing up because she has lost a lot of weight and is thinking about dying her hair, which is something that she has never done in her life so I am thinking that it may well be part of the crisis.
