India was tottering at 44 for 4 before lunch in the 2nd test against West Indies. Ravi Rampaul was on fire taking 3 wickets for 4 runs. Since then Laxman and Raina have stitched together a very good partnership of 60 odd runs to take India to 105 for 4 halfway through the second session.
Can these two take India to a respectable score?
Cheers!
Ram

Besides these two people others should also play well and make at least 250 runs. Otherwise India is facing defeat in second test. have a good day.

yes. I desired 250. I think we have been able to make it to 201. Good thing. WI are also 31 out of 3. They are also struggling. There is some hope of suspense in this match. have a great day.

I wish our bowlers get them all out with lesser runs than ours in the first innings. then we should score roughly 200+ and victory is India's. good day ram.

Laxman has always done the rescue but its refreshing to see Raina doing well again .He had a brilliant first test , had it not been two poor decisions against him who knows he would have scored a century .Raina has come a long way as he was a sititng duck in SA on similar kind of pitches.India would have reached 300 for sure if that shocking decision against Raina was not given .

Indeed it was a great rescue act by V.V.S.Laxman and Suresh Raina. Else the Indian team would have been in a grave danger.

Yes, they are anyhow not in such a great position even now. But at least the bowlers have something to bowl against and they have already taken three windies wickets. Let's hope they can keep up the good work and finish off the Windies attack shortly.
Cheers!

Hi ram,
This is what I was expecting. Laxman has been a man of need hour. Raina the captain is already in the form. And that Laxman and he would take the score still further is sure and after then let happen whatsoever is to happen.
But I am hopeful that this one too would be India's winning record books.

After struggling at 44/4 at lucnch suresh Raina and V V S Laxman has played well and now I would say India is in a commanding position. Even though the first four batsmen couldn't do well Raina and Laxman played brilliantly and now they have crossed the partnership of 100 runs. I think there is lot much to go fro them in this innings and a total 350+ will definitely put India on the top.

Raina again is involved in the rescue act as he deed in the first test. Only difference this time is his more fancied opponent was dominant partner in the partnership. Raina and Laxman guided India from 38 for 4 to 155 for 5. Raina being unlucky to be given out caught bat pad when there was no bat involved. The partnership of 117 runs took India to some what respectable score of 201 as India's tail folded from 155 for 5 to 201 all out.

I actually expected Kohli to be a better success than Raina in tests. Here the story is different. Kohli has been exposed to bounce while Raina has really come good under trying conditions. He has curbed his stroke making abilities and has produced two good innings thus far.
Cheers!

India were definately put on the back foot after being put into bat by the Westindies. Ravi Rampaul sure did wreck the Indian top order and had them at 44 for 4. India desperately needed a partnership and Laxman and Raina stood ground and delivered. The two put on a partnership in excess of 100 and more importantly were positive in their approach. Soon sfter lunch they came out and hit quite a few boundries and that upset the rythem of the bowlers who had got the upper hand at that time. Both played well and with the help of that partnership it helped rebuild the innings..
