I have read that there is been lots of debate over global warming, some people say its just climate change and this obviously not the first time earth will be having a climate change as it has happened before too like the time when dinosaurs lived. global warming main cause is said to be pollution created by man so what happened when dinosaurs lived , why did climate changed then? If in some places weather is getting hotter then its also shown on tv that in some places the weather is getting colder too.Is it just a natural cycle happening ?

There are natural cycles and climate change, both warming and cooling. The real question, does man cause dangerous levels of warming? I don't really know who to believe. I'm pretty concerned about covert political and rent-seeking goals involved from both sides.

safe environment is essential for all to live. environment pollution is cause of natural calamities. to safe environment, we should keep clean our environment.

dear sis,
I can really say that this climate change is caused by human error and abusing the nature.
If we look back decades ago, where the place we lived in is of green and many tress around.
But now all I can see are buildings and I can even see the sunrise due to these high rise building surrounding the whole place.
I can no longer hear the birds singing...I wonder where are all those birds gone and lived because there were no trees for those things to nests.
hope you are doing fine always dear sister

there are plenty of foreign countries too that Virgin Forest is still available, and most of them are capable of Forest Fires as we might heard in the news a while ago...
Illegal Loggers are strictly prohibited, the reason why they even buy trees here in the Philippines because their Trees are all preserved....
especially America...
their oil is reserved...
that is the reason why they buy oil in the Middle East....
by the time the oil in Middle East is to be run out...
they still have a prospect prioritize to buy discounted here in Spratley as well as China is a competent to them....
i am right or i am wrong.... hahahaha

Global warming is indeed NOT a lie. It's taking place since the industrial era back in the 20s.
Maybe there are apportunists, trying to manipulate the climate's current condition, which is why most of us does not feel the effect greatly.
The earth is heading towards a more disastrous event. It is all shown in the Bible and when it takes place, nothing is going to STOP it. I guess, there isn't much we can do except praying to God.
Global warming or not, it's all work of God. God could have stopped us...but....

Some people say it is due to more of emissions from vehicles. Number of cars, buses and other vehicles is increasing day by day and they emit more emissions which spoil the environment and that may result in average temperature rising. Regarding ur observation that in some places it is getting colder it must be due to climatic changes --the variations is very minimum.
Trees should be planted and not cut. Usage of airconditioners, vehicles should be reduced. This is theory. Practice it is increasing nowadays. have a good day.

the climate will still change even thou without pollution done by the humans....
as we already know that there are already 4 iced ages of history happened to our planet earth....
where all of the warm blooded animals migrated to the middle earth....

It has happened before but not exactly the same, before it was because of a natural cycle, and right now is warming in an alarming rate due to C02 released to the atmosphere which traps suns rays and heats up the planet, this means indeed icebergs melting, and some places getting warmer while others colder (extremes), the number of hurracaines will also increase as well as their strength. (there is a noticable change in the number of hurracaines in the past few years).

Hi akangirl, Global warming is very real and I think that we are helping it along. It's true that there have been many changes in the earth before and we really don't know the cause. This time around we should be trying to do our best to at least slow the process. Blessings.

Honestly, there are many people who are saying that the Global Warming is in fact a lie. I do not think that Global Warming is all that, but it is something to be concerned about because of the events that have been happening lately. Now I am not saying that the tsunami in Japan was because of Global Warming, I mean like the weather is really hot, hotter than a couple ears ago and also there are a lot more smog alerts and stuff in the big cities, so I think Global Warming does exist, but we are causing it. I also think we've been improving overall, we have cut back on energy usage and using a lot more fuel efficient cars. We will be fine in my opinion if we keep doing the right things.

Yes global warming is true because some of the icebergs are now melting which resulting to add move volume to the ocean water which causing floods to the low lying areas and shores. Here in the Philippines we never experience any major floods in Metro Manila during heavy rains 15 years ago. But today slight rains cause knee deep floods in some main streets. The highest temperature of manila before was 24 c, but today we're peaking a temperature of 30+ c. So Global warming is real.

My lecture at college was also thought so about global warming.
He said that global warming is made, so that the perpetrators of the industrial sector, replacing old machines with new machines.
Accordance with the issuance, regulations and standards, the environment,
So that the producers of the new machines, with more advanced technology,
can get more benefit from global warming issues.
like that, who ever delivered by my lecturers.

It's really a hard question to answer, because if we debate it over and over and turn out that global warming is true it's probably too late to do anything, but if we start to make a change now and suddenly ice in north pole stop melting then people would said that global warming is a lie because things are starting to get better again... so the question really is do you believe or not in global warming.

I feel that global warming is probably due to a combination of factors. Yes, the earth does naturally change over time and this may well be simply a slightly warmer period in the earth's history. however, the way that we are destroying the atmosphere and polluting the environment is definitely causing harm to the earth as well. We are releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and destroying the ozone layer and therefore we are also contributing to the warming of the earth.

No one can really tell if it's real or not. it might be a natural cycle that happens every 10,000 years or so that fixes the climate on the earth. You ever watch "The Day After Tomorrow"? That's sort of like what i'm talking about. All the bad stuff happening right now is actually going to save us in the future.
But other people believe global warming is caused by humans. they do have evidence... ever since we started using fossil fuels and released tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere our surface temperature has been going up. This could be natural as well, though. The problem is that we don't have records that go back far enough so we can determine if this is a natural thing or not.
