There are just days when you're surrounded by it. You can't help but shake your head.
I know I could be stupid sometimes, so I don't really need others to be as well. I could pretty well stick my own foot inside my own mouth, I don't need help with that. But some days, there is just too much to go around.
It is so frustrating!
Have you had that kind of day? Can you stand it?

Hi bounce
Yes there are days that I am in such a mood that almost everything around me sounds silly. I don't know if it is because of my own mode that makes me think that nothing is going right.
It certainly does not help my mood when st@pid does as st@pid is. lol.. It does add to the frustrations of my day, as sometimes I am not in the mood for silliness and that cause me to get yet more bothered.
It seems like some people actually know which buttons to push at the wrong time. It reminds me of being a child when things were not going right and that pesky relative would attempt to tickle and not know when to stop. Grrrr!

Ooops, sorry. I couldn't help it ... I left a silly comment to this discussion, but it never occurred to me that it would actually make things worse. I was trying to make him laugh to try and make things better. See what happens when you don't read all the responses first and just respond to the discussion immediately with your first instincts.

Yes, sometimes I am, but I usually know when to tickle and when to stop (or more importantly when to not even try) ... at least with the people that I am around off-line.

I can stick my own foot in my mouth as well, but it sounds like you are more bragging about your flexibility than complaining about it ...

Good, I am glad to hear it. This was the first thing that came to mind when I read your discussion, and I know that sometimes a silly/funny comment can lighten the mood and make things not seem quite as bad. I normally read all the comments on a discussion before I leave my own, but I was pretty sure that nobody else had responded with the same comment that I left, so I thought that I was safe. It wasn't until I read HWG's comment that I realized that my humor here might not be appropriate. I am glad that it was taken as it was intended.

The thing that I've been doing the most recently is jumping my husband's tail for some of the stupid decisions that he has been making. I am by nature that I've developed over the last couple of years a saver and he is definitely more of a spender. Well, he has been on a spending spree here lately and I will jump his butt about it. However, it is stupid because I do need to take into consideration the fact that he is working to support the family while also going through chemotherapy.

Even though he deserves some 'spending' because as you say, he is working to support the family, it doesn't excuse him from once-in-a-while spending on some 'stupid' things.
And I guess, that's where you come in. To remind him of that, naturally!
Thanks.

Yes sometimes and i just bite my lips for having been so stupid. Sometimes i couldn't accept the fact that i made a simple mistake out of my own stupidity. But i try to learn from them and never do the same mistake again.
I couldn't stand it as much as i couldn't stand stupid people pretending to be smart!

When at times like these, I had this mantra that I innately recite: "Hakuna Mata!"

Hey my sweet bro! You're not alone! I, as your sista, stick my foot in my
big mouth all the time, and don't give a ratz azz! Whatever! (As we say in
NY)! I am stupid more times than I care to admit to, but WTF? I'm in one
of "those moods" as it is where I just don't know or care about anything,
am "super depressed" and don't know exactly why, but sorta do-(I am beginning
to hate my bf/roomate because he is a lazy stupid...) who relys on me to pay
the rent, bills etc and I'm no sugga mama! He used to call me "White Sugga,
and he was my "Brown Sugga"-Now I want to "dispose of him"-Sugga melts when
you pour water on it? I think your sista is losing her freakin' mind! HELP!!!!

Oh gosh! I hope I didn't come too late here sis!
I hope that you're feeling a little better now. I hope that you've kissed and made up with your bf/roommate.
If not, I hope you've told him about it, so he could at least shape up, before you poor the (hot) water on the "Brown Sugga"!
Anyway, hope today is a better day.

I have some days where I am being so stupid that I just don't seem to be doing anything right at all. It is a shame because sometimes things get to the stage where I make myself cry because of the way that I am behaving; but it just seems that there are some days when we cannot get our brains in gear and make them do what we want them to. I normally find that I am perfectly fine the next day, and that the "silly" days are in the minority by far; but that doesn't mean that the days aren't seriously annoying when they do happen.

Well, I can't begin to count the stupid things I have done! I don't even want to recall any of them... You are not alone in this. There are just some bad days, but then, there are good days too...
Btw, what does "stick my own foot inside my own mouth" mean?

I have plenty of days like that and the sad part is that it does start with me and then it seems like everything we do is wrong and everything people do as well. Those type of days could definitely be fraustrating. It seems like nothing will go right for the rest of the day or week depending on the situation.

Yeah, me too. But take it easy dude. we all hate it. But there is always many ways to overcome it. What we need is just patience. And willing to do the better things. Trust me, we can overcome that.
