Songs and music are very powerful. A song may bring back the nostalgic moment, or create the inspiration within us. Some songs can get me so emotional and some give me the strength. "I will survive" by The Cake always make me feel stronger, that I can survive the day. "The glorious years" by Beyond (HK band) give me a positive feeling, a peaceful feeling. What is your song?

I do have many favorite songs. I am pretty much addicted to the oldies, and listen songs of Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, quite often. Very relaxing and sentimental. One of my songs is "Tennessee Waltz". The lyric is beautiful and the waltz music is so enchanting !

What a coincidence! Tennessee Waltz was one of my favourite oldies. Now you mention about it, it brings back the old memory. When I was a kid, I have a deep crush in this boy. I always put on this song and imagine dancing waltz with him. The lyric is just beautiful.

I guess my song for now is "Wish You Were Here" by Incubus because I'm living miles away from my girlfriend. If given the chance to work back at my province with the same salary I'm earning here, I wouldn't think twice and go back there. For now, the only times I can go back is when I'm off. Another setback to this is my schedule isn't really fixed. Sometimes my day offs aren't during weekends and that's a hassle because my girlfriend has to go to work during weekdays. So that means if ever I go back home, we'll only be together after her working hours. That amount of time isn't enough, I'm sure you understand.

Ah.. it's hard being apart from the love one. I understand the feeling, and how impatient sometimes we can get to wait for the day off, and when it fall on the weekdays, that's very annoying. Hang in there, thing will be better. Cheers =)

We're actually planning to live together. We're just waiting for the right timing. She wants me to break the news to her parents, though. That won't be easy.

I guess the humming is our subconscious response. Sometimes we do it without us realizing the songs that we hummed. It tells what is our mood at that time. Usually I hum when I was happy, or when I was driving.

Well there are different times and different songs that inspire me and cheer me up. However, some songs last through different periods of life, they never get old. One of these songs is "Wheels" by Foo Fighters. It has a strong emotion and raises my mood when I'm feeling down. In calm moments, when I want to relax and just think of something beautiful, I play "Summertime" by My Chemical Romance.

You are right, there are certain songs that is so evergreen and never get old. I think I have this Summertime by My Chemical Romance, but I never check on the lyrics. Most of their songs are a bit too loud for me. I usually listen to them when I was working out.
Have a nice day.

I love John Denver's song "for YOU' I this serves as an inspiration song for me to keep on going on what I am doing for my family. I love the song as it inspires me to fight and get up whenever there's downhills in my life just for my family.

Hi Edna, I just listening to 'for you'. Indeed it is an inspiration song. Sometimes I found it strange, how a song can give us the strength that we needed. Maybe that is what people called as the beauty of the music.
Have a nice day to you =)
