I Would Be So Mad...

Recently the pat-downs here in America have become downright crazy. Not long ago they patted down a baby. Just recently, I heard where they made a 95 year old woman strip down even taking off her adult diaper. I think that this is going too far. There has to be a better way. The metal detectors in airports are a joke. When I went on a plane fifteen years ago, they kept going off because I had a wadded up piece of a Wrigley gum wrapper in my pocket and did not realize it.

Personally there needs to be a better way for sure. There are so many that are detained anymore this way that are patted down, etc. that are harmless. If I would have been the person traveling with the 95 yr. old I would have been furious and made a complaint right then and there, and maybe insisted on my $$ back and refuse to ever want to fly again. I can understand the reasoning for the metal detectors and them getting a little more serious in what they look for, but isn't this a little overboard?

That is going too far they should usesome commonsense in deciding who they search. However i wouldnt put it past the taliban to use babies and old people as human bombs recently in afagahnistan they gave a 12 year old girl a bag of explosives and told her to walk towards a police checkpoint so maybe they are right in searching everybody.

I guess they're thinking "it's better to be safe than sorry." I mean, making an old lady strip down is way too far already. Now, I don't know what really happened then. Maybe they noticed something weird about the lady or something but if you think about it, it's still wrong. I wouldn't really know what they should do to avoid this situation from happening again while maintaining the safety high but I really do think they should change their system.

i agree. airports are beyond ridiculous. a few years ago i was going to visit my grandma in arizona from PA and the told me and my family to step aside for an additional search. the lady patted me down constantly on my butt like i was really hiding something there. i got so offended i yelled at her to stop groping my butt and to get a life and we almost missed the plane because i cause a hazard to the airport.... needless to say, my grandma comes to PA because i refuse to go on a plane ever again. they always talk about safety but it is a joke in some states and taken too serious in others. i send my heart out to those affect but 9/11 but seriously i want to scream at the forces. people in the force are uncaring, rude, and heartless with a few exceptions. every field has a handful of people who hate their job but i feel nothing more then the forces take it out on citizens for nothing. i agreed there's a better way and they need to get it right before something happens again
