Google + (yes, another social media platform!)

With almost all of the people that I know have Facebook accounts, what does the uber-hyped up Google + (plus) social network project have to offer? I am quite intrigued by this project but with their recent failures with Google Buzz and Orkut, how will this new social network project fare?
