My brother's house is flooded nearly half of the house..

Oh,I've heard this sad news and one of my friend just flew there this afternoon to check her son's family who were also victims and now staying in a hotel. Her son's family were safe but they never saved any of their belongings including their car. I haven't checked the photos here on the net how big the damaged has made in that particular place. I hope everything will be alright then.

Oh that's terrible , a person works so hard to buy things to make his home and when that home get destroyed by nature its depressing.Its quite bad that his school also got destroyed which will affect his education too. Hope everyone in the family is okay now.

I'm so sorry to hear that your brother's house flooded. We have had a quite a bit of flooding here ourselves. I have been lucky, that water only got as high around my porch last year. Other's wasn't so lucky, many people lost their homes. I'm glad to hear that your family wasn't hurt, and I pray that no one else was either. I can handle most things thrown at me, but floods is a different story all together. Mainly because I can't swim. Bless your nephew's heart, I don't blame him one bit. Floods can come out of nowhere. I never in my life saw something move so fast with such force in such a quick time. Even worse for your brother's family to happen at that such of time, being dark and all. You can't see it coming before it's to late. I pray things get better for your family, and the area you live in, also pray it doesn't happen again.

Yes, I have been reading about floods in the newspapers, and also saw reports on the TV. Really so sad to see people suffering from those floods. This year, there have been so many different types of natural disasters in countries in different parts of the world, floods, earth-quakes, tornadoes, storms. Really so amazing !

It's a terrible flash-flood that hit your place! I looks like you were caught unaware and this is the first time flash-flood came this much. I understand your predicament and my heart goes for you. I know if feels to have the whole house flooded and things inside destructed and spoiled by water. Everything just turned to almost nothing. I myself also have had this same experience before. My whole house was flooded and all the things inside were just floating.When the flood subsided all appliances were left destroyed and thick mud occupied the whole floor area. All the clothes had to be re-washed and I needed all my friends to help me to clean the mess and put back everything into place. It was so exhausting. Yes, our place here is also prone to flood this is the reason why we decided to re-build our house. We made the foundation higher, much, much higher than before and we also built a second floor. But even then, every time it would rain hard, I'd always pray and ask God not to bring flood again for the sake of those whose houses were low and have no higher floors. I hope your brother and all those affected can get over the trauma soon. I hope assistance could be extended and necessary precaution be done the next time around so this will not happen again.
