What is your favorite magazine and why? Which do you subscribe to? Which do you buy on the news stand? There are many I buy at the news stand but I subscribe to Allure, Better Homes and Gardens, Lucky (and I think another that I am forgetting). Also, I used to get Writer's Digest, I really liked that one!

Magazines - Photo shows several issues of different magazines.
Well, my answer is going to be pretty boring compared to that last one. Like you, I really enjoy Better Homes and Gardens. I also like This Old House, Martha Stewart Living, Family Circle and Woman's Day. Basically, I like just about any house and/or home magazine. I don't subscribe to any of them, though. Our Friends of the Library book store sells magazines (sometimes even the issues still being sold at Wal*Mart) for a dime each. The cheapskate in me has a hard time spending any more than that.

I can relate! All of my subs are either free or a deal like 2 years for the price of 1.

Food - Avacado cut in half.
I like magazines that deal with food, I like to see the different dishes. Its something sensual about food and the way food is photographed has such a tempting allure. The visual part of how food is displayed, so open and exposed. I like Better Homes and Gardens, they usually have delicious and tasty looking plates of various kinds of desirable recipes. I do not subscribe simply because there is just too many magazines with food to look at. So I sneak a way to a cozy corner in Barnes and Nobles and I have a un-committed involvement with a few magazines and then I leave them where I found them back on the shelves.
