Sometimes I Know Things Happen For A Reason

Many of you who have been following any of my discussions know about all the troubles I have had to endure with the company I work with, and some of the many struggles. It has truly been a challenge and many times I have wished I could disappear. Even as I know things will never be great there, it is where I am at for now. (In a week and a half I will be there 5 yrs.)
Last month I decided it was time to start applying for jobs for other companies. I even had a couple of job interviews. This was before my recent Health struggles and nothing came from any of these as well. Truly God was in control for this one. What would I have done for Medical last week? I know there is Cobra when in between jobs but tell you what, God was in control keeping me where I am at.
Do I enjoy where I am working? Is it the Best place for me to be? The answers to these are NO. The place is Filthy. I am working Swing shift, and know it would be better on my body to work days, and the commute is quite a ways. But the pay is better than many jobs out there, so it is sometimes putting a rock in a hard place.
But for now I am where I am supposed to be until God chooses to move me onto something else. Thank goodness for my putting complete trust in him so even in the bad times I can look back and know he was protecting me for something better.

I like to think that everything does happen for a reason. God has a path for all of us to follow, and if something that we are trying to do would mean that we had to stray from that path, then God would ensure that it did not happen, as He likes to make sure that we are sticking to the right path in our lives. It is nice to know that there is always somebody there watching over us making sure that we live our lives as we are supposed to, and it is also nice to know that when things go "wrong", it isn't always "wrong" in the way that we might think at the time.

For sure. Yes I was feeling a little disappointed when you have 5 interviews for jobs within a 2 week period and everyone seems to fall thru, or you are told to try again later. But then to think just weeks later I got really sick, and had a whole bunch of other Good things happen I know it was God telling me to wait.

It is so hard to keep strong and determined when it seems like everything is falling around you, but I know God is in control and I have to carry on and that God will never forsake me nor forget me.

Yes, the things I have is a God who cares and assures me of that all the time, and a loving husband who is there to support me even when everything seems to be falling apart. But I hold strong to the day when God looks down and shows me "Look, I told you everything was going to be OK."

I am sure He will not. This is a hard time for you to get through of it and I don't want you to give up like people I know as at the end they regret with their own life for not trying to defeat it and give up with things happened to them. I know that you can get through it Tina.

That is the Truth. Even if we think it should be faster, or happen differently we need to always remember God is in control and will always give us what we need first, and then what we want as he sees fit.

Hi, Tina. I am very proud of you. That you still put God in the center of your life in spite of the hardships you have to go through in life.
And yes, swing shifts are so annoying. That was one of the reason why I was so overfatigue with my job because of the unfix shifts they gave me. I become frustrated so I decided to quit.
Applying jobs is really critical because even if you believed that you yourself is qualified for the post - if your interviewer doesn't like you - you will never get accepted.
I have become my own version of an optimist. If i cant make it through one door, ill go through another door-- or ill make a door! Hehehe something terrific will come no matter how dark the past/present because I have God in me and so does everyone.
Hope everything will turn out fine for you. I wish you well, Tina. Let's keep our faith.

I like your comments here if If I can't make it through one door I'll go through another door. That is a great way to look at things, and I know no matter what God is putting me through something better will come along. Just might take time.

It seems sometimes like when we are in a spot like you are that we are suffering and He is not answering our prayers..then something happens...or things straighten out and when you look behind you....well we see the reasons things turned out the way they should. He always looks after us....and you trusting Him the way you do things are bound to turn around....and though this is a hard time....well down the road you'll look back and see that He did answer all of our prayers....He just did it the way He thought would be best!

Well I do agree that even with everything I am going thru at this time, there is a reason and timing and one day I will be able to look back knowing it was truly worth it all. I feel I am further along with my Health than I was, and even if there are all these other challenges right now God is still in control and I just to keep on believing and hanging on.

Hi Tina!
Gosh you have been through a great deal lately. I am sorry that all the healthy issues add to the aggravation from work. I am a firm believer that nothing ends on our time but God's time. Therefore, you have such a positive outlook and holding strong regardless of all that is taking place.
I do hope for you to soon be out of the health issue area and in a happier work place too.

Yes, I have been thru a lot and one of these days it too shall end, and I will be able to look back and know it was worth it all. I feel I have to have a positive attitude with everything my friend. I know sometimes it feels like everything is caving in around me, but I am better off when I continue to remain in control.

God was definitely in control. He will provide you with a better job when we knows the time is right. I have had to work at jobs that really sucked but put in my time knowing that God would be there and provide when needed. I hope that he shows you something better soon. Take care.

Well right now, I know that I have to wait until these wounds are completely healed and everything is better in that direction and with a few other minor health issues as well, and then God will open the door and provide me with something else. I am glad that I listened and obeyed and still had the Medical for helping with the medical issues, and know in time something better will come along.

Actually dear, God always has a reason for anything that happen. Sometimes things bad happen and many would question God why but when things good happen they can't even thank God. Well to a Christian, whether good or bad, he must understand that God has a purpose. A Christian should always remember Romans 8:28 "All things work together for good to those who love God and all the called according to His purpose." So if you are among those who love God and the called according to his purpose....whether things go good or bad today...rejoice and keep rejoicing because God is working them all together for your own good.

That is so much the Truth. That is why I find it important to keep on hanging on, and one day soon this will be all behind me.

I can think of an example that has happened in our lives as well. My husband's company changed medical insurance last year in October, we were both unhappy about it because it meant that he would have to have a different primary care provider. However, in retrospect it is one of the best things that has happened because the new PCP was concerned about his swollen lymph nodes and gave him a referral to a surgeon who did a biopsy on them and he was diagnosed with lymphoma. If he was still at his old PCP, I really think we would still be waiting for an answer as to what was causing his medical ailments.

I guess it wasn't time to move yet.
Even with the odd hours of your current work, and the terrible commute. Not to mention the trouble it causes your body, I guess it is still better than the alternative of not having any insurance. Or not being eligible because you're new to a job.
Things do happen for a reason.

You are in better shape than I do. There's always something better at the store.
I used to work graveyard shifts for 7 years and it was too long. When I lost it, I had a sense of relief. Eventhough I am struggling today, I would not go back to that place.
The LORD knows your needs. I hope that you get something better as time progresses.

Hi Tina,
This is a wonderful testimony of how God is in control of your life. You may not like where you are, but you have the insurance that you need to have. God is in control, and if more of us would relinquish control of our lives and let God direct our paths, we might have even better lives than we have now. I'm trying to do that also.. let God have the reins.

Hi KrauseHome. It is good to wait on God, when we start doing things on our own God steps aside and allow us to handle it. But when we wait on Him then He is in control of the situation. Sometime we have to bite the bullet and stay where we are until God shows us the way out. And when that happens nothing can stop the process then. "If God be for us who can be against us." God Bless you.

I so admire the way you look at life KrauseHome! It is true that God is in control and that everything that happens for a reason. God obviously has better for you than the jobs you’ve applied for but it is not time yet. It is difficult to be patient but faith will guide you through. My life experience has proved that to be right for me on many occasions. Take care of your health above all.

Yes,I agree with you Krause! Just put your complete trust in the Lord and you will never go wrong. He will lead you to something better. He, alone, knows what is best for us. Before you can even tell Him what you want, He knows it already. Sometimes we just need to wait for a little while, because the right time is yet to come.
