Lastnight my computer randomly updated. It always asks to update, but this time it didn't ask. After it updated my computer it restarted my computer. I was tired so I decided to go to bed while it was doing so. When i woke up I logged on and msn didn't pop up. So I thought maybe I unclicked something. When I click MSN it wouldn't open. So I tried clicking my games and none of them won't open. I tried running avast antivirus, but it says I need a license key. Another thing I tried doing was a system restore, I clicked it and it won't even open. My dad is a computer guy, but he works from sun up to sun down and he doesn't have much time. Can someone please help me? I need to fix it as soon as possible because have something I need to check and fix.

Hold the power button down while the computer is on and keep holding it down until it completely shuts down. Then boot up and is should ask if you want to go into safe mode. Boot into safe mode and try restoring to a time before this problem came into play. -Cooper

1Cortney1, I believe your update here involves with some patching of certain software applications like MSN messenger here. So, you may have to reinstall these applications and games. So, please go to your computer's Control Panel to uninstall the current application before downloading the new version when there's no update executable files for you to download. Hope this will be of help here.
