Hi gjax57!
You know before responding to this topic, i first checked on your age. Hysterectomy is a surgical operation to remove your uterus or the womb where why baby is growing while inside you. This is due to some problems in the uterus that can not be treated with medicine alone. This is common everywhere. There is partial and total hysterectomy which is removing the 2 ovaries. Did the doctor inform you that you will no longer bear a child after the surgery? The procedure can be done in less than 1 hr, so you don't have to worry that much. I hope you are not longer wanting to have more babies..:))
