She told me today that she and her husband plus her 2 year old daughter are off to Dubai for their 10 year wedding anniversary. I think that it is a very exciting destination. I know that in September it is going to be very hot there for them. Her sister loves Dubai and has been there 4 times in her life so far. Have you ever been to Dubai? Would you like to go there? If so why? How do you cope in a very hot climate?

I have never been there....and really it isn't a destination that I would pick for myself. I like cooler weather unless the humidity is down....hot and sticky doesn't agree with me!

I have never been to Dubai, but I'm planning to go there since i have my cousins working there. Well regarding the climate i guess it would be harder for the kids to cope since they got a hot climate. It's a very good tourist destination after all. I hope they enjoy the tourist attraction there.

Is Dubai relatively safe? Being an American I'm wary of that part of the world even though it's not the main place we hear of extremists. How hot does it get in Dubai? It was 110 here yesterday and very humid. I guess I cope okay.

Hi, maximax8. I would like to know if Dubai is anywhere near Qatar? I have never visited the overseas before. I would love to though, I think that it would be an exciting experience! Dealing with the hot weather, I don't think that I could possibly handle traveling because it is so very hot where we are living at now. It feels like 100 degrees everyday! When it is very hot in a climate, I usually cope by staying indoors as much as possible and I drink plenty of cold water and liquids that will keep me feeling hydrated. I also wear cooler clothing so that I won't feel hot so much. I hope that your friend and her family, all enjoy their trip to Dubai.

I heard so much of Dubai. It did crossed my mind to visit Dubai. Its high rise and modern architectures that reaches the 'sky' has always captivating... However, I heard it is quite costly. I would avoid the hot season if I planned to go there. Hopefully God will blessed me with a beautiful trip there soon....

I have been living in dubai for over 10 years and I love the place! I just feel its, my second country , after Egypt. Its really a very good place to go with many shopping destinations and astonishing tourist places. The weather is hot most of the time but there are air conditioners wherever you go so you wobt actually other with that too much. Hope your friend enjoys his time there! :)

I've been to Dubai 2-3 times since I lived in Kuwait most of my life. But haven't been there in the last decade and heard it's changed a lot. I've got friends in Dubai and from their pictures I can see the place has changed a lot since I was there last. A few months ago, my friend went there on her trip with family. She went in the middle of summer...wrong time. September will be comparitively cooler than June-August....which is the peak of summer. Except labourers who work out in the field, most of us live in air conditioned surroundings and almost every place in Dubai would be air conditioned. It is cooler at night and the desert is best visited then and that is when group outings in the desert are planned.

Hi maximax8, I am tired with the scorchers which I have been undergoing since my childhood. Therefore I won't go on vacation to any places where the weather is hot. I feel not comfortable to sweat all the day long with the sticky sweat on my whole body I like visiting to temperate countries during spring or winter I haven't been to Dubai yet. I had visited its neighbor countries Turkey and ..... I would like to visit it if I were to the chance in the coming future for there are some awesome huge and unique constructions available there.

I wouldn't mind hot climate I was born and raised in a tropical country anyway If I had the money I would rather go to places with ancient sites like Stonehenge, Egypt, Turkey, Peru etc I've never heard Dubai has these sites so it's not in my to-do list

I have never been to Dubai but, would like to go there one day! The nearest I have been is Qatar and I thought that was quite nice although as it was with work I didn't really get much time to explore!

Hi maxi, I can cope with hot climate. Because we are the people of hot region. But you will face difficulty there. Because you are not accustomed with hot weather. I'm not interested to visit Dubai. Dubai is a city of concrete. No natural green is there. But if you like to see desert you can go there. But I think you visited deserts.

Wow for a wedding anniversary they picked a random destination that is for sure! I would prefer one of the Pacific Islands or the adventures of Africa but hey that is just me. Everything that is there is artificial, I prefer natural beauty and well the extreme heat would drive me insane.

I've never been to Dubai but my father works there. He said that it is a good tourist destination. If given the time and money, i will surely visit him there and see its beauty with my very own eyes. i think i will be able to cope with their climate since i live in a tropical country, so i'll only do a few adjustments.
