Do you accept the request of unknown person in facebook.
I don’t get many request of unknown people on facebook, but some time there are request from them. I am in state of irony whether to accept or not. but at the end I accept them. What about your choices , do you get the request of them. And also do you accept them or not.

I always trust my mind. I give a look on the picture and then whatever the first comes to my mind I do that. I don't get a number of requests but yes I get them sometimes.
Generally I get requests from the known persons, like colleagues, old friends, schoolmates and college friends. That is all.

I do accept unknown, i check to see if we have any mutual friends first.Because their are so many hackers out their now, we just have to be careful of who we are adding now a days.
An if i see that we have common friends then i will add that person.I have accept people who i don't and today we are best of friends.

I only accept them if we have friends in common. I believe that some people are hackers and that is why I wont accept anyone without common friends.

I agree with grammasheshe.I only accept strangers in Facebook if we have common friends. It's hard to trust people nowadays. There are already more crimes committed, just using your Facebook account. We need to be extra careful.

That's a big NO NO. They will only annoy you after reading their recent postings in newsfeeds. It'll make you bored reading something about someone you don't even cared about. So IGNORE them :)

Hi!
I don't usually accept friend requests. Before I make an action, I always check first the profile of the person. I don't immediately add those people who are just adding me out of nowhere i.e. we've got nothing in common, didn't respond to the same discussion, didn't respond to my discussion nor I did to his. Nothing to connect us. I don't add those people. And those who have been inactive in myLot for months, I don't add them. Especially those who are full of referral links in their profile, I don't add them.
I only add those who I have communicated with in discussions, may it be mine or other's discussions.

In the past I would accept to any friend request from unknown people in Facebook. But some time ago I deleted those unknown people because I just wanted to keep in touch with the people who I know. Now I felt regretful. As today when I do some tasks via the net, I found that I am not qualified to it since I don't have so many friends in my Facebook account.

I presume you're talking about task found on mylot?
I fail to see how this applies to amount of friends.
When a task from mylot asked to "like" on facebook, I assure you this has nothing to do with amount of friend!

I don’t always accept friend requests from strangers on Facebook. But sometimes I accept from those peoples whose profile really looking attractive. Sometimes I get some friends request from the peoples of out of country then I think and take a look about their profile and if their profile looking attractive then I accept requests from them. Because I know this is a social networking site and here we come for looking new friends. So it is not bad if you accept friend requests from strangers.

In facebook I don't add them easily. I have to make investigation first. But in mylot I add and accept friends in flash as long as I am online. Facebook users and adders are not safe anymore.. Since facebook is the parking site of phishers. Ohh I really hate phishing.

I usually don't
but if this unknown person is a friend of a friend then I will add
I just have to confirm it with my friend first
it also helps that my settings are quite specific
either friends only, only me, or I specified names

I rarely get any requests in facebook but then I just signed up with them about a year ago and I only use the site to keep intouch with family and look at pictures of my granddaughter as they live far away and it just makes it nicer and easier for me to see her.
But when I do get a request I make sure I know them before I accept. I don't accept anyone I don't personally know or someone I won't talk to even if they are on my friends list. I did accept a few people I very slightly knew when I was younger and we never talk anyways so what's the point. I just deleted them eventually and they never requested me again so I don't think they even noticed I was gone from their list.
I know some people, like my daughter, who have thousands on her list and she can't tell me she knows all of them. I am sure most of them are friends of friends and friends and so on. So how would she know if someone deleted her? She couldn't know..
Cheers and happy mylotting my friend
Chris

Just make sure you don't have super personal information on facebook. If you do, then make sure only people you trust have access.
The problem happens when you have personal information, and have a bunch of strangers on your friends list.
We just had some couple say on their facebook page they were going on vacation, and they had dozens of people as facebook friends. When they came back, their house was cleaned out. They stole everything.
The thieves knew they were not home, and were not coming back.

Sometimes i accept the friend requests of a unknown person but at the same time i send a private message to that person. Messages are regarding my lack of knowledge or for any other reason i.e. if a person knows me but if I unable to remember him that helps me alot during connecting to forgotten classmated or colleague. Otherwise I remove that person from my friend list if he/she sent me friend request without any mean or just want to increase there number of friends. Yes, many of the girls do that so that she can increase number of guys in her friend list. They think they will be superior in their friend circle but I found in rubbish & I remove them. In this type of world we have to beware of a girls too.
