Malaysian airlines is currently in a big controversy because of a business decision that offended many parents, Babies are now banned in the first class areas of their plane. Babies are only allowed in business and economy class. Their reason for banning babies, customers who payed first class tickets payed for first class to relax and crying babies are not relaxing.many parents are offended and felt discriminated because of this new policy. I know many mylotters are travelers while others are parents. what do you think of Malaysian airlines' decision? source of the news http://www.newser.com/story/122223/malaysia-airlines-no-babies-in-first-class.html Maybe airlines must have a nursery or something.

I read about that, and although I have children, I feel like it may not be a bad thing because when I am traveling without my kids, I loathe the thought of having a crying baby on my flight. Also, since parents don't pay for their kids to fly, its not like they would be losing much money anyway.

I was 50/50 about this situation, crying babies in a flight really gets my nerves too but I understand the parents who felt rejected. on the bright side they will save money on business and economy class.

The airlines must have their own reason and they must have come to this after thinking. They will be affected by the results of this. If necessary they will change. It is only the copassengers who complain. It is always like this. people who do not have children , do not like people with children.....

Yes i would be offended. If you are willing to pay for first class seats and you have children or babies why are you not entitled to this service. At what age are children then allowed to fly first class and how can it be proven that they are any quieter than the babies. I wouldn't fly malaysian airlines again if i was refused first class with my son who is autistic and can be quite loud at times. I understand the other people want to enjoy their flight but thats all part of using public transport.

I know, this cause an outrage to many parents and make them lose customers. Many parents decided to boycott Malaysian Airlines .their answer to the issue is that its all business and they cannot please everyone anyway. they were stubborn upon their decision.
