Tagaytay! It's a nice cool place. We love to frequent that place. Aside from Taal lake view, the picnic grove, Sonia's garden, the mushroom burger and many more, I love the flowers along the roads. They are being sold and they really are so lovely. I don't go home without buying plants from the those gardens.

Hi pinkhawk7! To add up to their suggestions above, you can also go to either Tagaytay Zoo or Paradizoo or both especially if there are children coming with you. There are also lots of restaurants in Tagaytay with nice view so you can take your pick from Dencios, RSM, Viewpoint, Josephines etc. You can also try grab some burgers for snack from Mushroom Burger (one of my favorites).

I have been to the Philippines once, some years ago. It was on a business trip, and I was only in Manila, busy attending business meetings. Manila is a very beautiful city, no doubt at all. The people are friendly and very courteous. I was told that there are many beautiful beaches in different parts of the country. But, I didn't have the chance to go there. Hopefully next time !

I am a resident of Cavite and I go to Tagaytay anytime I wish riding the motorbike. There is nothing much to do in Tagaytay but to enjoy the scenic view. There are two routes from Manila, take Aguinaldo highway or via Sta. Rosa Laguna. I suggest that you visit first the "People's Park" or the former Palace in the Sky. It is the ruins of the Marcos' mansion which was built to accommodate the visit of of the former US Pres. Ronald Reagan in the past. Now I forgot the story what was the reason it was not completed and became a waste of money. From there you could have a panoramic view of Taal Volcano. You can bring pack lunches and take a picnic there. Another place to go is the picnic grove. They have huts for rent for picnic, you can go horse back riding or try the zipline, a 30 seconds of thrill being thrown to the other end of the cliff tied on a cable. That's all you can do there as far as I know unless you want to go for trekking on the crater of the volcano, you need to go down to Talisay Batangas if I'm not mistaken.

I had no idea where this place was and found out its in the Philippines.
Since I like to find out about places that people are traveling to, try this site.
It seemed to have quite a few comments and gave some very good ideas on how to spend a day there. Have fun hope you post a picture to show us!

I've been there once. We just take a look at the views of tagaytay. We ate @ Fresca Restaurant. We visit People's Park, and roam around there. Took a lot of pictures.
If you got some money, you try their zipline, then horseback riding. You can also visit the Palace in the sky.
I suggest you bring your own Vehicle. It's hard to roam around merely commuting. It's a lot more convenient if you have your own car or van. The best thing, is to have a great company, whom you could laugh with and enjoy the trip to the fullest.
Have a great fun!
