From my own research, cucumbers are a food that should be eaten daily if available. Either buy organic cucumbers or better still grow your own if you can. Your whole body will benefit from eating cucumbers.

That's strange! Maybe you should try getting some cucumber plants the next time and see what happens. It could have been that seeds were not good. I hope the next time you do better. Today I ate two amazing cucumbers. Simply delicious!

I have a good vegetable plantation at my home. I just cultivated chilies, potatoes, cucumber at my garden but the cucumber seed did not grow at all which made me very sad. I had tried it many times but I was just a failure but all other vegetables like chilies ,potatoes are ok!

We require rather little silicon in our diet and many fruits and vegetables, including lettuce, cucumbers, avocados, strawberries, onions, and dandelions and other dark greens, are a good source. Nearly all of the silicon in cucumber is contained in the skin.
Silicon is one of the minerals which helps to hold cells together and promotes strength in nails and hair. It is not usually listed in nutrition guides because it is not considered an 'essential' mineral. A normal, healthy diet will always contain enough for our needs.

This is the first time I heard of this
But now that I think about it, I did see a shampoo with cucumber extract once. I thought it was because cucumber is cool and refreshing to the scalp.
I like cucumber too. Especially with vinegar, a little bit of sugar and black pepper. Yum!

I don't know much about cucumbers, but it is one of my favorite foods. I did not know that it is having silica proven to be good for hair growth. I am glad to know that and thank you for the information.

As far as cucumber is concerned I think it is very good if eaten. I don't really know about its beauty benefits but for as long as you eat it fresh it will help you to grow healthier so I am really in love with slices of cucumbers as side dish along with other veggies.
If it would really be helpful for hair growth then all the more would I eat more of cucumbers. Or would there be a need for applying it directly on the scalp?

Cucumber has silica (a very tiny amount) in the skin which I personally do not like to eat.
It is supposed to be good for the skin but I haven't seen much about hair growth. There doesn't appear to much in the way of proven facts on this subject. Everything seems to be written by health nuts!
