Hello Lotters,
I remember this Last scene from AI where evolved Androids were looking for lost files and discovers the young android boy and gave him one wish to revive his human mom for just one day.
If the Admin and their bosses would keep a separate hard-drive replaceable every five to ten years. Our descendants probably fifty years and Above future will be looking and studying our post and analyze how human conversations happen in the past.
Sure, they will be more advance by then, but it's not bad to look into the past the way see in ours. sometimes, I feel every thing we put in here, will the HISTORY OF TOMORROW in terms of the study of social networking. of course, some day social networking will be human's part of studies and they will see our discussions....very Entertaining
Probably If mylot last for 50-100 years, I'll let my siblings descendants see my past life through mylot. where they can understand me better of who and what is was..something that my freaking siblings never thought of.
I hope Future mylotters or current mylotters who gets rich (some day) in America would have the decency to retain OUR archives and keep the site running for a LONG, LONG time. so our great10x grand children will us through here.

thats a cute and original discussion^^ really awesome i like it.. well i agree with you. i think that through mylot people can know how we really are deep inside of us. the truth is that here we all help and advise each other without expect nothing back. if we see clearly, the most part of us cant stay online here for many many hours but come here only often but not everyday.. so we cant make a lot of money. the reason we are here i guess is also bcs this is an interesting site where we can get free advises and good friends that can be real friends someday^^ its a great idea that our grandchildren can see what we wrote here^^

Now that would be sweet for others in the future to get a sense of who I am. I am very conscious about how I respond here as my intention is to have others see me for who I am through my writing. So dear Letran that is inspiring to know that if indeed the site were to run for many years to come I/we can be remembered and or known through our writing.

So you're sibilings descendants will see that you called their mothers / fathers "freaking"?. Well I am not sure how long this site will last but another interesting thing that should be archived for future reference is facebook statuses. Imagine what people will think of us and our crazy lingo / antics?

Hello Cowgirl,
I never saw Facebook to be educational. there's always a lot lingo/antics that i would never understand. some people write poetry of some kind that it has not entire something to do with their situation. some just rant but not in full detail why. just like friendster, it's gonna die out. mylot has been proven educational to me.
I don't see celebrity past but ordinary people's Past. something the future people should be seeing some day.

Should they not also see the antics on facebook then? Not everyone uses facebook the same way and some people post music, maybe songs that may be lost in generations to come, however if facebook were to archive it our future great great great grandchildren can see it and enjoy the music an antics of our times.
Of course, no matter the lingo or antics would you not want to see how your family lives generations ago if it were available to be done so online now? I think you would!

There's an app at FB that helps you download your statuses and when I downloaded my statuses, I had so much fun. It was like my journal broadcast to the world. I saw happy ones, sad ones, rant ones...I also posted lyrics and poetry!
Whenever I have time, I like to take a look at my old discussions and remember what those discussions meant to me that time.

Hello Sis Jaiho,
Actually I felt bothered because I was supposed to be active for the whole month and this specifically last month. I didn't like the idea of being bothered at all. that's why I was so depressed, but probably enough is enough because i have earned my ways anyways.

Hi letran knight: nice theory. I have thought about this before and yes it would be a nice experience if peoplein the future explore what we do and how we see the world these days. What we are doing right now could be the subject ofhistory tomorrow .

Hello Starsailover,
Well, am not the only one who could think about such thing. With new sites appearing every ten years, who knows how long before mylot hits the dust. probably that's why am writing as fine as many but as civilized as i could so that we wouldn't be able to have time being criticized only by our fellow mylotters but also our future descendants as well

Hello skr3wed,
Unfortunately, for newbies like you would never understand the value of forums like this kind of social networking. probably facebook and twitter are popular now, but in time, it will stop being popular. friends started around 2001, and it lasted five years. you don't get it because i think you have not understand the value of being here. stick around, you might learn something.

wow letran a grand discussion and you are thinking deep deep thoughts
I wish they would do just as you suggest so people to come after us
can get an idea of what we were like and how things were in this time
of history. I remember a teacher of mine who dug up some statements parents made about their children teens I believe back in 1200 and mixed it with some more modern things parents complained about their teens in 1970 and my fellow students were amazed at how a lot of them thought the ancient parents complaints were the more modern ones complaints as they used some of the same rhetoric as the ancient one had used.In other words some things change so much they stay the same. parents from way back complain kids were lazy, they smoked too much they drank when they were underage, same complaints down through the centuries.so if our histories from mylot also contain some complaints those way ahead of us have they will be surprised too. the more we change the more we stay the same,it has b een proven time and again. hugs from hatley

Hello Hatley,
Well, I am not sure how the archives before the rise of the internet is utterly accurate. but since this entire post in this website will be saved from a tough and reliable hardware, i think there's a chance that this post will last a life time. wow, am sure they're going to see a lot rants here. have a nice day too

It it can happen. I hope Mylot stays that long and even if they don't stay they can keep what we write here for others to read. There is nothing bad in that.
When I see your numbers of post you look as an old man. I am still young here. I will not post that much number of post because it will be tough for the children this much number of posts.

Hello Sanjay,
Well, Not exactly old but probably heading for the middle age stage. but to be honest, there is no young and old in mylot. though i call a veteran with respect to our country's tradition of calling our elders, we are all equal here. not "children" but future children who will grow up to see this site.
