To Blackberry or not to Blackberry

All of my friends have recently got black berries and have been raving about them - I feel like I'm excluded from my social circle suddenly because I don't have one so don't have bbm or the unlimited internet. I know there are many advantages to having a blackberry, but for me to get one means I have to cancel my current contract. Do any of you have a Blackberry and if so, do you think they are really as great as all my friends are saying??

Well blackberry is certainly good but not the best... Apple iphone and Android phones are better than a blackberry. Blackberry has just created a loyal fan base for themselves which includes your friends and many of my friends as well.. These crazy blackberry fans likes everything what blackberry offers(specially Blackberry messenger service) and so they boast a lot about it.. I have used a Blackberry and i personally feel Android is a better mobile OS to go with.. It has lots of things to offer with its huge and ever-growing app store... Also i felt the usability of a Android is much better than a Blackberry...!!! :)

Well, in the end it turns out I bowed to the peer pressure and got a blackberry myself! Just because all my friends are on it, which means that now I will be able to speak to all of them for free. I only got it yesterday so I haven't seen all it has to offer yet but I am really enjoying it so far - maybe next time I will try an Android phone to see which one I prefer!

Well thats great bouncybug..... A new cell phone is always fun to deal with.... I remember how spent hours on my HTC when i had just bought it.. Hope that you enjoy your Blackberry.... Have a good day.. :)

I just feel the same way as you. But, in my case they have Blackberry or Iphone. I think I'll buy one of the two pretty soon. My sister have a Blackberry, but she wants to buy an Iphone, because have better features than Blackberry. Iphone is a lot more complete!

Yes - Iphones have amazing features. If I could choose any smartphone at all, I would definitely choose an iPhone over anything else. But iPhones are so expensive! I just got a contract now that came with a free blackberry so I think I have got a good deal :)

It all depends on where you are living and what plans are available in your region. If Internet 3G plans are expensive I would certainly recommend a blackberry; otherwise stick to android, apple or nokia. Certainly, the functionality offered by blackberries is limited compared to that of other handsets in the market. But if you are the type of person who give social networking a priority I would recommend a blackberry. Hope this helps!
