I notice many writers who looking for money from writing will always write SEO rich contents. Sometimes we always thinking the hot trends keyword since we assume those words will generate lots of traffic for our site. However, this kind of article need improvement because the writer is writing not their niche. How about you? Do you like to write what readers thinking or write what you like? I sometimes use both ways.

I just recently started writing and what I wrote are topics that I believe are valuable information that readers should know and what I would like to share with them. I also believe that there are always set of readers for each topic, but there are certain topics in the web that generates most traffic which I am not much knowledgeable. Sometimes, there are topics that I did not expect to get a lot of views but it did. So any topic that comes to my mind, I will write about it as you won't know who are the people that will be interested on it.

I find that that is so true--I write a lot of history articles, because I am fascinated by history. Those history articles get a whole lot more views than I ever expected! I guess there are a lot of closet history fans out there!

I write mainly for me, unless it's something I've agreed to write for money, then I write for my employer, whoever they may be at any given time. But when I write for pleasure rather than work, I write principally for me. I've tried making my writing more reader-friendly, and much of my writing reflects this, but for the most part, I've mainly written for me, and this has resulted in mixed results from readers; but that's OK. Perhaps that'll change in the future, and I'll cater my writing more to my readership. I think perhaps I ought to sometime...

I write for the readers, omche. But I choose the topic that I want to write about. It's hard for me to follow trends I don't get. For sure, my article will sound unnatural and weird. I don't want that. I would always want to write from the heart.

hi,
of course to make your reader more interested on what you have write it should come first to your self, you have to make first to cope your and relate your interest to it so that you can cope the interest of the reader,so i could say that i will use both of them.

Sometimes it's both and sometimes I'm partial to one side. There's nothing wrong for writing for readers because writers have the universal inclination and desire to have an audience and to keep them interested.
I will agree that SEO writing is partly for the reader's beenfit but a writer can also benefit by being exposed into things and information that's exactly not their interests. This exposure can be useful in future, especially in building knowledge and perhaps a good material in the future. Writing for on;es pleasure ia like technique and an interlude when writing for the audience becomes a burden or a non-stop practice that makes you lose interest. My opinion is as long as you are writing and it makes you happy and fulfilled, it's win-win situation.

I write for my self. The words just sometimes spill out in waves. To be able to write is a gift and sometimes I share my poems or stories with others.I have got to find my writing good in order for me to share it with others.

I write what is in my mind and what is in my heart. I sort of jot down what is happening around me and how I feel about it. Perhaps I am writing to record my life, in some sort of public diary or journal, and in the end, people get to know my ideas and my person, so I write for them, too.

I think its approximately seventy five percent for me, about twenty five percent with the reader in mind. I mean really, if you don't care what you are writing about, if you are not completely into it, then its going to be hard to get motivated for writing something. Never mind the fact that it does seem to be a bit weaker than normal.
Yet, I'm not going to lie. There have been some things that I have written that just seem to be view bait a lot of the time. I think that in some level, I do care about it, on a small minuscule level that is. Still for the most part, the writing is for me, as I can really get the content out faster, if I am rather interested in it. If you aren't into your writing for the most part, then really, who else is going to be Still there are times where I tend to venture outside of my comfort zone, which in many ways can help you grow.

Yeah, you're right. We should write both for our readers, and for ourselves. I am learning from you guys. Keep those ideas coming!
