what are the positive things that you would do when life seems upset to you ?

Do you think life can be upset to you ?It maybe sometimes for someone or always for another.You seldom meet someone who would say to you that life is always full of happiness and without any upset at all.However, we can choose to stay in those depressed mood during the unhappiness moment or we can choose to do something more positive to overcome the negative feeling.It would be nice to have some friends to share about your feeling when you are not in a good mood.On the other hand, it maybe helpful to stay in a quiet place for awhile. What else will you do when you feel life seems so upset to you and looks like you can do nothing about it?Share with us and I am sure this discussion will make attract many response for this discussion.Maybe your reply can be helpful for some people in the mylot community.

When I was younger, I used to sulk and wallow in my depression. But I have learned that life is too short to waste any time in feeling upset. So, I have decided to be more positive and approach life in a better way.
Now that I have two daughters, it isn't too hard for me to find something to be happy about. I just look at my daughters and I feel so much better and all the negative thoughts disappear. If you have a child, then you are lucky because like I said, it is so easy to find something to smile about. But if you do not have children, life in itself is something to celebrate about.
There are so many things people do to uplift their spirits. For most women, it's retail therapy. I don't know what it is about shopping but everytime we go shopping, the world just seems such a better place.
Thing is, the world is beautiful and life is beautiful and whenever we think otherwise, it is when we feel most upset. So, we must always count our blessing and remember that life is something to celebrate about.

There are many positive things to do when you are upset. You can attend church services on Sundays. Going to church will uplift you when you are not happy. You should always attend church. You can go out to a favorite restaurant or movie and have a good time. You should not spend your life depressed or in a negative mood. Choose activities and people that are positive and fun to be around.

Sure, there are many things in our lives that will upset us each and every day, but in addition to this there are also an awful lot of things which are fantastic about life that we have to be grateful for and proud of. I have a list on my mirror of things that I have to be grateful for, and that includes my family, friends, health and job. So, when everything else seems as though it isn't that great and seems to be going wrong all of the time, I know that there are things worth carrying on for, and life is certainly wonderful when you look at it in the right way.

If people say that they are always happy without any sorrow then they sure are not from planet earth. We all go through ups and downs. What we should keep in mind is that neither happiness nor sorrow stay for a long time. They come and go.
Many a times we find ourselfs in problems and that can be very depressing. But we shoud give ourselfs time to think and get a solution. Its also important that we motivate ourselfs and keep reminding ourselfs that we can do it and it is not the end of the road. Also try getting some good thought in your head or may be even listen to some good music. Do things that make you smile or get you energetic again and it will help you divert your mind and make you feel happy..

It often seems that there are dark clouds that threaten me. I should not be afraid of the life. If one believes, pleasant things can really happen. I am not a cheerful person myself who can inspire others and make them strive to reach their aims of life. It seems helpful for me to go to the country side, to be near the water, to enjoy the nature, to make small travels. It is nice if there are supportive people around.

Yes, of course life is going to be hard sometimes, and there are always going to be things that make us upset or make us feel sad. I really believe in the power of the mind - its amazing what you can do if you just put your mind to it. So even though there are hard things in life, there are always also things to be grateful for and happy about. No matter how bad you have it in your life, you should look for the positive things and focus on them, and try your best to change the bad things that you can change. If you do that, then you will always be able to overcome hardships and find happiness!

I always go with detachment
because whenever I am too attached to something, it can really upset my balance when things don't turn out as expected
now and then of course I get too attached and the second I feel 'heavy' I will withdraw and avoid whatever and whoever it is that giving me that feel
If this is something or someone I can't avoid,
I will protect myself and do regular cleansing

wildlittlefan first I prayed to have this mess of my life changed then I found mylot and also all my mozart records. when I am not mylottiong I
am listening to wonderful classical music, not rock, not heavy metal but gentle unordinary modern sounding pieces written two hundred fifty some years back. these are my positive things then my visits with my son more positive things in a world full of negatives.also I browse the internet when life has its downs that I cannot change. We all have our
own ways of coping and those are my ways

Whenever iam upset i play video games, play songs on my guitar or go out with friends and hangout around them. This gives me a lot relief from stress, depression. My mood automatically becomes joyful and after a few moments i just forget everything that has made me upset in my life. Not I think this is the best way to cope with depression, stress and nervousness. Often our minds gets into crazy zone when we think on a particular topic and get the negative felling in our hearts we just want it desperately to happen the positive felling in our hearts but the negative emotions keeps on recalling and making us worse thinking on past things. So concluding whenever iam in a stage that makes me upset, depressed, or stressed. I just play around with my comp, or call a friend and chat for a while.

I agree with Rakittera. Life is too short. I try to stay busy. Being depressed, I write a poem or story. Life is not so good to me now, and yet I keep typing away. When I am down, I think of my inspirations: my MySpace friend Jessie J who finally made the big time in singing, a girl from Ukraine who made me feel special, I went to the park today for a community event and I watched the children have fun. At the park, one little girl came up to me and squirted me with water (it was hot so I welcomed it). One little baby girl came up to me and hugged me. So there are a lot of things that can attack that wall of depression.

When things cannot be changed it is better for us to accept it whole heartedly and not question it. For the first few days I will be feeling bad about it and after that just keep quiet. A few others cry. A few other people show it on others. I have not got many things when I wanted -- may be as a young man, middle aged man and now at 60 + also. that is life.

Me if i have that kind of day, there are 3 things that normally i do : listen to upbeat music, get a pen and paper and write my mood/feeling of the day, then find time to go to church to sit there and pray.
After that i feel a bit better and lighter:-)
