The internet has a very notable side effect. Ask your self, how our language have been affected? Our language has evolved drastically through the invention of the internet. The days where by we use proper grammer and puncuation are gone. With today's linguistic style, they are now redefinited as boring. Offen we now us acronyms such as "OMG","LOL" and more. And it is very normal to omit vowels from words. So should this internet lingos be accepted instead of traditional english? What do you think?

Internet lingo should remain in the chat rooms when you are just messing around with friends. Every now and again on message boards that have a more relaxed atmosphere as well. However for every day language use, no, just no. I am a bit agitating about it on the Internet to begin with personally but hey I am really ready to put up with it. Of course, nothing bugs me more when people shorten the word you, "u". It annoys me and I don't even know why, it just does. Well actually I kind of think that I do, as it is only three letters, therefore people really do not need to shorten in. Than again, if people could short the word "I", if it was really possible, so yeah. Still internet lingo should remain in the chat rooms. That way, I can avoid the chat rooms. I only use the term "LOL" seriously very little for that matter. Most of the time when I use it, its very tongue in cheek.

No matter what happen as long as there are computers, androids, Iphones and whatever gadgets that might be using internet still language evolution is possible. Because of that internet lingo can't be avoided it's part of the fast-paced technology. I think using "OMG" and "LOL" is not bad at all as long as it is properly used at the right place and time. After all those words are by products of chatting terms and a part of of network socialization. But using words like that in writing term or even technical papers is a big fall back. The bottom line? We should know how to use words according to their proper usage and should not interchange it for whatever sake to avoid confusions and doubts.
