Spend now or save?

Which is better, spend the money you earn it now or save for the future? Do you think it is cultural thing or just personal attitude?

I prefer to save money until I can get something I really want. But right now I just came into about $500 and really need a lawn mower and a weedeater.. so that's where the money is going. I would love to just blow it and go on vacation for the forth of July, but we want that and we need our grass mowed.lol

hi nicki I am a saver and I still do save up. I will be eligible for old age pension with almost 67 years old and I want to stop working with 60 so I have to save up well to bridge the income gap between 60 and 67 and thats why I am hesitant about spending money now.
