How to deal Ignorant People?

What will you do if you encounter people who seemed lost their common sense somewhere down the road with unimaginable low IQ level? Recently, I find myself deeply embroiled in a gossip controversy I was not directly involved, it was so taken out of proportion that it became a malignant tumor, what is more irritating is that the other party refused to analyse the situation and seemed totally ignorant to understand the whole context, my God! I never encounter such common sense comparable to a 10-year-old person. But right now I let those stuff go and vowed not to mingle with people whose IQ seemed flown elsewhere. I am so pissed of with the situation that I promised not to join people who have a strange lifestyle and principles in life.
