It's been on for ever and it still on so it must be working. They may not catch everyone..but evenif they catch only one..I think it is worth the time!

I watch this alot not just the regular progtam but they have parts of it on Court Tv quite often. They show on there people who have been caught due to the show

Yes I think America's Most Wanted is very effective. They usually say on the show how many criminals the show has helped them catch. The more people that see these criminal's faces the more likely they are to be found. Gone are the days of posting faces up at the post office.
