Why teens really want freedom in all aspects including Love...

When there is responsible parents who take care of the childre3n in every aspect and want to seen them in good position and lead happy life...STILL few teenagers feel that they are grown up and there is no need to hear the words of parents....what is happening in the society...Is there ant BAD PARENTS in the society?????

Well considering the fact that I am a teen I think I can give a pretty reasonable answer. Like one response said pop culture does have a big impact on me and my peers. As much as adults tell us to say no to certain things the media and celebs whom most of us look up to are telling us that if you don't do these things you're not cool enough. I know that sometimes I feel like I am not cool because now it seems like underage drinking is so popular and common but I hate the idea of it. Everyone wants to fit in even if it is wrong but with all of these music artists using these lyrics about illegal things it is not helping too much. I also believe that we just want to go out and discover who we really are. There is so much we are exposed to now compared to when my parents are growing up. With so many more opportunities we just want to experience life. Sometimes we feel like we are being controlled in a way and that just really irritates us. I don't no that's just my two cents.

now i could know u are a teenager - u seem to be having clear thinking. Experiment - true not in areas which will affect you permanently -- for example drinking, smoking, dating etc,. these habits once formed cannot be reversed. that is why parents tell you.
When u feel u are being controlled u get irritation. Parents worry about ur future and that is why they control.

In my opinion, Teenager wants to explore in this age they want to try new things which they think they are not needing their parents. And for them their parents are bad because of the aspect of giving them an advice they are not aware of the fact that the parents only wants the best from them. right? There is not bad parents at all, it will always depends on the child who looking at them.

hi,tiina...well said.If everybody thinks like you,there will not be any problem for our kids[Teenagers]...ofcourse the family structure and systems may also affects the teenagers thinking..
If you take the example of Indian family bondage...there is a social and financial security for children still they settle well in their lives...

yes. there are bad parents in society -- parents who set a bad example to children -- not going for work - drinking all through the day -- living with more than one woman -- smoking all through the day -- being indecisive-- not shouldering responsibility etc.
here only children should understand that they have more responsibility and accordingly conduct themselves properly. good discussion.
